आदिपुराणम् त्वं देव परमानन्दमस्माकं कर्तुमुद्गतः । किमु प्रबोधमायान्ति विनार्कात् कमलाकराः ॥२३॥ मिथ्याज्ञानान्धकूपेऽस्मिन् निपतन्तमिमं जनम् । स्वमुद मना धर्महस्तालम्ब प्रदास्यसि ॥२४॥ तव वाक्किरणनमस्मच्चेतोगतं तमः । 'पुरा प्रक्रीयते देव तमो मास्वत्करैरिव ॥२५॥ स्वमाविर्देवदेवानां स्वमादिर्जगतां गुरुः । स्वमादिर्जगतां स्रष्टा त्वमादिर्धर्मनायकः ॥२६॥ स्वमेव जगतां भर्ता स्वमेव जगतां पिता । त्वमेव जगतां त्राता त्वमेव जगतां गतिः ॥२७॥ स्वं पृतात्मा जगद्विश्वं पुनासि परमैर्गुणैः । स्वयं भौतों यथा लोकं धवलीकुरुते शशी ॥२०॥ स्वत्तः कल्याणमाप्स्यन्ति संसारामयललिताः । उल्लाविता महाक्यमेषजैस्मृतोपमैः ॥२९॥ ... त्वं पूतस्त्वं 'पुनानोऽसि परं ज्योतिस्वमक्षरम् । निई य निखिलं क्लेशं यत्प्राप्तासि परं पदम् ॥३०॥ "कूटस्थोऽपि न कूटस्थस्वमय प्रतिमासि नः । त्वय्येव कातिमध्यन्ति यदमी योगजा"गुवाः॥३३॥ भस्नातपतगात्रोऽपि स्नपितोऽस्यच मन्दरे । पवित्रयितुमेवैतज जगदेनोमलीमसम् ॥३२॥ युष्मजन्माभिषेकेण वयमेव न केवलम् । नीताः पवित्रतां मेहः क्षीराब्धिस्तज्जलान्यपि ॥३३॥
हे देव, हम लोगोंको परम आनन्द देनेके लिए ही आप उदित हुए हैं। क्या सूर्यके उदित हुए बिना कभी कमलोंका समूह प्रबोधको प्राप्त होता है ? ॥२३॥ हे देव, मिथ्याज्ञानरूपी अन्धकूपमें पड़े हुए इन संसारी जीवोंके उद्धार करनेकी इच्छासे आप धर्मरूपी हाथका सहारा देनेवाले हैं ।।२४ारे देव, जिस प्रकार सूर्यको किरणोंके द्वारा उदय होनेसे पहले ही अन्धकार नष्टप्राय कर दिया जाता है उसी प्रकार आपके वचनरूपी किरणोंके द्वारा भी हम लोगोंके हृदयका अन्धकार नष्ट कर दिया गया है ।।२५॥ हे देव, आप देवोंके आदि देव हैं, तीनों जगत्के आदि गुरु हैं, जगत्के आदि विधाता है और धर्मके आदि नायक हैं ॥२६॥ हे देव, आप ही जगत्के स्वामी हैं, आप ही जगत्के पिता हैं, आप ही जगत्के रक्षक हैं, और आप ही जगत्के नायक हैं ॥२७॥ हे देव, जिस प्रकार स्वयं धवल रहनेवाला चन्द्रमा अपनी चाँदनीसे समस्त लोकको धवल कर देता है उसी प्रकार स्वयं पवित्र रहनेवाले आप अपने उत्कृष्ट गुणोंसे सारे संसारको पवित्र कर देते हैं ॥२८॥ हे नाथ, संसाररूपी रोगसे दुःखी हुए ये प्राणी अमृतके समान आपके बचनरूपी ओषधिके द्वारा नीरोग होकर आपसे परम कल्याणको प्राप्त होंगे॥२९॥ हे भगवन् , आप सम्पूर्ण क्लेशोंको नष्ट कर इस तीर्थकररूप परम पदको प्राप्त हुए हैं अतएव आप ही पवित्र हैं. आप ही दसरोंको पवित्र करनेवाले हैं और आप ही अविनाशी उत्कृष्ट ज्योतिःस्वरूप हैं ॥ ३० ॥ हे नाथ, यद्यपि आप कूटस्थ हैं-नित्य हैं तथापि आज हम लोगोंको कूटस्थ नहीं मालूम होते क्योंकि ध्यानसे होनेवाले समस्त गुण आपमें ही वृद्धिको प्राप्त होते रहते हैं । भावार्थ-जो कूटस्थ (नित्य) होता है उसमें किसी प्रकारका परिवर्तन नहीं होता अर्थात् न उनमें कोई गुण घटता है और न बढ़ता है, परन्तु हम देखते हैं कि आपमें ध्यान आदि योगाभ्याससे होनेवाले अनेक गुण प्रति समय बढ़ते रहते हैं, इस अपेक्षासे आप हमें कूटस्थ नहीं मालूम होते ॥३१॥ हे देव, यद्यपि आप बिना स्नान किये ही पवित्र हैं तथापि मेरु पर्वतपर जो आपका अभिषेक किया गया है वह पापोंसे मलिन हुए इस जगत्को पवित्र करनेके लिए ही किया गया है ॥३२॥ हे देव, आपके जन्माभिषेकसे केवल हम लोग ही पवित्र नहीं हुए हैं किन्तु यह मेरु पर्वत, क्षीरसमुद्र तथा उन दोनोंके वन (उपवन और

You are the one who purifies others, and you are the imperishable, excellent light. ||30|| O Lord, although you are Kutastha - eternal - you do not appear to us to be Kutastha, because all the qualities that arise from meditation are constantly increasing in you. Meaning - That which is Kutastha (eternal) does not undergo any change, that is, neither do its qualities decrease nor increase, but we see that many qualities arising from meditation and other yogic practices continue to increase in you every moment, so you do not appear to us to be Kutastha. ||31|| O Dev, although you are pure without bathing, the abhisheka that was performed on you on Mount Meru was done only to purify this world, which is polluted by sins. ||32|| O Dev, by your birth abhisheka, not only we have been purified, but also this Mount Meru, the ocean of milk, and the forests of both (the gardens and the forests). ||33||
