आदिपुराणम् अधो अवेयकस्याधो विमाने तेऽहमिन्द्रताम् । प्राप्तास्तपोऽनुमावेन तपो हि फलतीप्सितम् ॥१३॥ 'अथातो वज्रजङ्घार्यः कान्तया सममेकदा । कल्पपादपजां लक्ष्मीमीक्षमाणः क्षणं स्थितः ॥९॥ सूर्यप्रभस्य देवस्य नभोयायिः विमानकम् । ष्ट्वा जातिस्मरो भूत्वा प्रबुद्धः प्रियया समम् ॥१५॥ तावच्चारणयोयुग्मं दूरादागच्छवैक्षत । तं च तावनुगृहन्तौ व्योम्नः समवतेरतुः ॥९६॥ दृष्टा तौ सहसास्यासीदभ्युस्थानादिसंभ्रमः । संस्काराः प्राक्तना नूनं प्रेरयन्स्यङ्गिनो हिते ॥१७॥ अभ्युत्तिष्ठन्नसौ रेजे मुनीन्द्रौ सह कान्तया । नलिन्या दिवसः सूर्यप्रतिसूर्याविवोद्गतौ ॥१८॥ तयोरधिपदद्वन्द्वं दत्ताः प्रणनाम सः । आनन्दाचुलबैः सान्द्रः क्षारयनिय तक्रमौ ॥१६॥ तामाशोभिरथाश्चात्य प्रणतं प्रमदान्वितम् । यती समुचितं देशमध्यासीनौ यथाक्रमम् ॥१०॥ ततः सुखोपविष्टौ तौ सोऽपृच्छदिति चारणौ । लसइन्वांशुसंतानः पुधाजलिमिवाकिरन् ॥१०॥ भगवन्तौ युवां क्वत्यो कुतस्त्यौ किं नु कारणम् । युष्मदागगने तमिदमेतत्तया में ॥१०२॥ युष्मत्संदर्शनाजातसौहार्द मम मानसम् । प्रसीदति किमु ज्ञात पूर्वी 'ज्ञाती युवां मम ॥१०३॥
सम्यग्ज्ञान तथा सम्यकचारित्ररूपी सम्पदाकी आराधना कर अपनी-अपनी आयुके अनुसार स्वर्गलोक गये ॥१२॥ वहाँ तपके प्रभावसे अधोवेयकके सबसे नीचेके विमानमें (पहले प्रैवेयकमें ) अहमिन्द्र पदको प्राप्त हुए। सो ठीक ही है । तप सबके अभीष्ट फलोंको फलता है ॥९३॥ : अनन्तर एक समय वनजंघ आर्य अपनी स्त्रीके साथ कल्पवृक्षकी शोभा निहारता हुआ भण-भर बैठा ही था ॥२४॥ कि इतने में आकाशमें जाते हुए सूर्यप्रभ देवके विमानको देखकर उसे अपनी स्त्रीके साथ-साथ ही जातिस्मरण हो गया और उसी क्षण दोनोंको संसारके स्वरूपका यथार्थ ज्ञान हो गया ।।१५।। उसी समय वनजंघके जीवने दूरसे आते हुए दो चारण मुनि देखे । वे मुनि भी उसपर अनुग्रह करते हुए आकाशमार्गसे उतर पड़े ॥१६॥ वज्रजंघका जीव उन्हें आता हुआ देखकर शीघ्र ही खड़ा हो गया। सच है, पूर्व जन्मके संस्कार ही जीवोंको हित-कायमें प्रेरित करते रहते हैं ।।१७। दोनों मुनियोंके समक्ष अपनी स्त्रीके साथ खड़ा होता हुआ वनजंघका जीव ऐसा शोभायमान हो रहा था जैसे उदित होते हुए सूर्य और प्रतिसूर्यके समक्ष कमलिनीके साथ दिन शोभायमान होता है । वनजंघके जीवने दोनों मुनियोंके चरणयुगलमें अर्घ चढ़ाया और नमस्कार किया। उस समय उसके नेत्रोंसे हर्षके आँसू निकलनिकल कर मुनिराजके चरणोंपर पड़ रहे थे जिससे वह ऐसा जान पड़ता था मानो अश्रुजलसे उनके चरणोंका प्रक्षालन ही कर रहा हो । ९॥ वे दोनों मुनि स्त्रीके साथ प्रणाम करते हुए आर्य वनजंघको आशीर्वाद-द्वारा आश्वासन देकर मुनियोंके योग्य स्थानपर यथाक्रम बैठ गये॥१०॥ तदनन्तर सुखपूर्वक बैठे हुए दोनों चारण मुनियोंसे वनजंघ नीचे लिखे अनुसार पूछने लगा। पूछते समय उसके मुखसे दाँतोंकी किरणोंका समूह निकल रहा था जिससे ऐसा मालूम होता था मानो वह पुष्पाञ्जलि ही बिखेर रहा हो॥१०॥ वह बोला-हे भगवन, आप कहाँ के रहनेवाले हैं ? आप कहाँ से आये हैं और आपके आनेका क्या कारण है ? यह सब आज मुझसे कहिए ॥१०२।। हे प्रभो, आपके दर्शनसे मेरे हृदयमें मित्रताका भाव उमड़ रहा है, चित्त बहुत ही प्रसन्न हो रहा है और मुझे ऐसा मालूम होता है कि मानो आप मेरे परि

At that very moment, two Charana Munis, coming from afar, saw Vajrajangha. They descended from the sky, showering him with their blessings.
Seeing them approaching, Vajrajangha quickly stood up. Indeed, the karmas of past lives continue to guide beings towards their welfare.
Standing before the two Munis, Vajrajangha, along with his wife, shone brightly, like the day adorned with the lotus, shining before the rising sun and the counter-sun.
Vajrajangha offered obeisance to the feet of the two Munis, his eyes overflowing with tears of joy, washing their feet with his tears.
The two Munis, with their wives, blessed Vajrajangha, assuring him, and then sat down in their appropriate places.
Then, seated comfortably, Vajrajangha asked the two Charana Munis the following questions. As he spoke, a stream of light emanated from his teeth, as if he were scattering a shower of flowers.
He said, "O Bhagavans, where do you reside? From where have you come, and what is the reason for your arrival? Please tell me all this today."
"O Prabhus, the sight of you has filled my heart with a sense of friendship, my mind is filled with joy, and it seems as if you are my relatives."
