आदिपुराणम्
नवमास स्थिता गर्ने रत्नगर्भगृहोपमे । यत्र दम्पतितामेत्य जायन्ते दानिनो नराः ॥ ६८ ॥ यदा दम्पतिसंभूति'र्जनयिनोः परासुता । तदैव तत्र पुत्रादिसंकल्पो यन्न देहिनाम् ॥६९॥ क्षुत जृम्मितमात्रेण यत्राहुर्मृतिमङ्गिनाम् । स्वभावमार्दवाद् यान्ति दिवमेव यदुद्भवाः ॥ ७० ॥ देहोच्छ्रायं नृणां यत्र नानालक्षणसुन्दरम् । धनुषां षट्सहस्राणि विवृण्वन्स्याप्तसूक्तयः ॥ ७१ ॥ पल्यत्रयमितं यत्र देहिनामायुरिख्यते । दिनश्रयेण चाहारः कुवलीफलमात्रकः ॥७२॥ "यद्भुवां न जरातङ्का न वियोगो न शोचनम् । नानिष्टसंप्रयोगश्च न चिन्ता दैन्यमेव च ॥ ७३ ॥ न निद्रा नातितन्द्राणं नात्युन्मेषनिमेषणम् । न शारीरमलं यत्र न लालास्वेदसंभवः ॥७४॥ न यत्र विरहोम्मादो न यत्र मदनज्वरः । न यत्र खण्डना भोगे सुखं यत्र निरन्तरम् ॥ ७५ ॥ न विषादो भयं ग्लानिर्नारुचिः कुपितं चन । न कार्पण्यमनाचारो न बली यत्र नाबलः ॥७६॥ 'बालार्कसम निर्माषा निःस्वेदा नीरजोऽम्बराः । यत्र पुण्योदयानित्यं रं रम्यन्ते नराः सुखम् ॥७७॥ दशाङ्गतरुसंभूत मोगानु भवनोद्भवम् । सुखं यत्रातिशेते तां चक्रिणो भोगसंपदम् ॥७८॥
यत्र दीर्घायुषां नृणां नाकाण्डे " मृत्युसंभवः । निरुपद्रवमायुः स्वं जीवन्त्युक्तप्रमाणकम् ॥ ७९ ॥

हो जाते हैं ||६७|| पूर्वभवमें दान देनेवाले मनुष्य ही जहाँ उत्पन्न होते हैं । वे उत्पन्न होने के पहले नौ माह तक गर्भ में इस प्रकार रहते हैं जिस प्रकार कि कोई रत्नोंके महल में रहता है। उन्हें गर्भ में कुछ भी दुःख नहीं होता । और स्त्री-पुरुष साथ-साथ ही पैदा होते हैं । वे दोनों स्त्रीपुरुष दम्पतिपनेको प्राप्त होकर ही रहते हैं ||६८|| चूँकि वहाँ जिस समय दम्पतिका जन्म होता है उसी समय उनके माता-पिताका देहान्त हो जाता है इसलिए वहाँ के जीवोंमें पुत्र आदिका संकल्प नहीं होता ||६९॥ जहाँ केवल छींक और जँभाई लेने मात्रसे ही प्राणियोंकी मृत्यु हो जाती है अर्थात् अन्त समयमें माताको छींक और पुरुषको जँभाई आती है । जहाँ उत्पन्न होनेवाले जीव स्वभावसे कोमलपरिणामी होनेके कारण स्वर्गको ही जाते हैं ७० ॥ जहाँ उत्पन्न होनेवाले लोगोंका शरीर अनेक लक्षणोंसे सुशोभित तथा छह हजार धनुष ऊँचा होता है ऐसा आप्तप्रणीत आगम स्पष्ट वर्णन करते हैं ॥ ७१ ॥ जहाँ जीवोंकी आयु तीन पल्य प्रमाण होती है। और आहार तीन दिनके बाद होता है, वह भी बदरीफल ( छोटे बेरके) बराबर ॥ ७२ ॥ उत्पन्न हुए जीवों न बुढ़ापा आता है, न रोग होता है, न विरह होता है, न शोक होता है, न अनिष्टका संयोग होता है, न चिन्ता होती है, न दीनता होती है, न नींद आती है, न आलस्य आता है, न नेत्रोंके पलक झपते हैं, न शरीर में मल होता है, न लार बहती है और न पसीना ही आता है ।। ७३-७४ ।। जहाँ न विरहका उन्माद है, न कामज्वर है, न भोगोंका विच्छेद है किन्तु निरन्तर सुख ही सुख रहता है ।। ७५ । जहाँ न विषाद है, न भय है, न ग्लानि है, न अरुचि है, न क्रोध है, न कृपणता है, न अनाचार है, न कोई बलवान् है और न कोई निर्बल है ||७६|| जहाँ के मनुष्य बालसूर्यके समान देदीप्यमान, पसीनारहित और स्वच्छ वस्त्रोंके धारक होते हैं तथा पुण्यके उदयसे सदा सुखपूर्वक क्रीड़ा करते रहते हैं ॥७७॥ जहाँ दश प्रकारके कल्पवृक्षोंसे उत्पन्न हुए भोगोंके अनुभव करनेसे उत्पन्न हुआ सुख चक्रवर्तीकी भोगसम्पदाओंका भी उल्लंघन करता है अर्थात् वहाँके जीव चक्रवर्तीको अपेक्षा अधिक सुखी रहते हैं ||७८|| जहाँ मनुष्य बड़ी लम्बी आयुके धारक होते हैं उनकी असमयमें मृत्यु नहीं होती । वे अपनी तीन पल्य प्रमाण आयु तक निर्विघ्न रूपसे जीवित रहते हैं ॥ ७९ ॥

**Verse 68:** In the abode of gems, where the couple are born, they are born as givers of charity. They remain in the womb for nine months, like a dwelling in a palace of gems. There is no suffering for them in the womb. And the man and woman are born together. They both remain as husband and wife.

**Verse 69:** When the couple is born, their parents die at the same time. Therefore, the beings there do not have the desire for sons or daughters.

**Verse 70:** Where a mere sneeze or yawn is enough to cause death for the beings, meaning that at the end of their life, the mother sneezes and the man yawns. Those born there, due to their gentle nature, go to heaven.

**Verse 71:** The scriptures of the enlightened ones clearly describe that the bodies of those born there are adorned with many auspicious marks and are six thousand bows tall.

**Verse 72:** The lifespan of the beings there is three *palyas* (a unit of time). They eat after three days, and their food is the size of a *kuvali* fruit (a small berry).

**Verse 73-74:** The beings born there do not experience old age, disease, separation, sorrow, contact with the unpleasant, worry, or poverty. They do not sleep, feel lazy, or blink their eyes. They do not have bodily impurities, saliva, or sweat.

**Verse 75:** There is no madness of separation, no fever of lust, no interruption of pleasures, but only continuous happiness.

**Verse 76:** There is no sadness, fear, exhaustion, lack of appetite, or anger. There is no miserliness, no misconduct, no strong, and no weak.

**Verse 77:** The people there are radiant like the morning sun, sweatless, and wear clean clothes. They always play happily due to the constant rise of their merit.

**Verse 78:** The happiness experienced there, born from the enjoyment of pleasures arising from the ten types of Kalpa trees, surpasses even the pleasures of a Chakravarti. In other words, the beings there are happier than a Chakravarti.

**Verse 79:** The people there have long lifespans, and they do not die prematurely. They live their full lifespan of three *palyas* without any obstacles.
