प्रथमं पर्व वयोपदिशता तत्त्वं किं नाम परिशेषितम् । धूतान्धतमसो मास्वान् 'मास्यं किमवशेषयेत् ॥१६३॥ 'वयोपदर्शिते तत्त्वे सतां मोमुह्यते न धीः । महत्यादर्शिते वर्त्मन्यनन्धः कः परिस्खलेत् ॥१६४॥ स्वद्वचोविस्तरे कृत्स्नं वस्तुबिम्ब मयेक्षितम् । त्रैलोक्यश्रीमुखालोकमङ्गलाब्दतलायिते ॥१६५॥ तथापि किमपि प्रष्टुमिच्छा मे हृदि वर्त्तते । मवद्वचोमृताभीक्षण पिपासा तत्र कारणम् ॥१६६॥ गणेशमथवोल्लङ्घय त्वां प्रष्टुं क इवाहकम् । भक्तो न गणयामीदमतिभक्तिश्च नेष्यते ॥१६७॥ 'किंविशेषैषितैषा मे किमनीषल्लमादर। श्रद्धोत्कर्षीचिकीर्षा 'नु "मुखरीकुरुतेऽद्य माम्॥१६८॥ भगवन् श्रोतुकामोऽस्मि विश्वभुग्धर्मसंग्रहम् । पुराणं महतां पुंसां प्रसीद कुरु मे दयाम् ॥१६९।। स्वरसमाः कति सर्वज्ञा मत्समाः कति चक्रिणः । केशवाः कति वा देव सरामाः कति तद्विषः ॥१७॥ कीदृशं वृत्तकं तेषां वृत्तं वत्स्य॑ञ्च सांप्रतम् । तत्सर्वज्ञातुकामोऽस्मि वद मे वदतां वर"॥१७१॥ "किनामानश्च ते सर्वे किंगोत्राः किंसनामयः। किंलक्ष्माणः किमाकाराः'"किमाहार्याः किमायुधाः॥१७२॥

आपके द्वारा होनेवाली धर्मरूपी जलकी वर्षा सबको अच्छी लग रही है ॥१६२।। हे भगवन् , उपदेश देते हुए आपने किस पदार्थको छोड़ा है ? अर्थात् किसीको भी नहीं। क्या अन्धकारको नष्ट करनेवाला सूर्य किसी पदार्थको प्रकाशित करनेसे बाकी छोड़ देता है ? अर्थात् नहीं ॥१६।। हे भगवन् , आपके द्वारा दिखलाये हुए तत्त्वोंमें सत्पुरुषोंकी बुद्धि कभी भी मोहको प्राप्त नहीं होती। क्या महापुरुषोंके द्वारा दिखाये हुए विशाल मार्गमें नेत्रवाला पुरुष कभी गिरता है ? अर्थात् नहीं गिरता ॥१६४॥ हे स्वामिन् , तीनों लोकोंकी लक्ष्मीके मुख देखनेके लिए मंगल दर्पणके समान आचरण करनेवाले आपके इन वचनोंके विस्तारमें प्रतिबिम्बित हुई संसारकी समस्त वस्तुओंको यद्यपि मैं देख रहा हूँ तथापि मेरे हृदयमें कुछ पूछनेकी इच्छा उठ रही है और उस इच्छाका कारण आपके वचनरूपी अमृतके निरन्तर पान करते रहनेकी लालसा ही समझनी चाहिए ॥१६५-१६६॥ हे देव, यद्यपि लोग कह सकते हैं कि गणधरको छोड़कर साक्षात् आपसे पूछनेवाला यह कौन है ? तथापि मैं इस बातको कुछ नहीं समझता, आपकी सातिशय भक्ति ही मुझे आपसे पूछनेके लिए प्रेरित कर रही है ॥१६७॥ हे भगवन् , पदार्थका विशेष स्वरूप जाननेकी इच्छा, अधिक लाभकी भावना, श्रद्धाकी अधिकता अथवा कुछ करनेकी इच्छा ही मुझे आपके सामने वाचाल कर रही है ॥१६८।। हे भगवन ,मैं तीर्थकर आदि महापुरुषोंके उस पुण्यको सुनना चाहता हूँ जिसमें सर्वज्ञप्रणीत समस्त धर्मोका संग्रह किया गया हो। हे देव, मुझपर प्रसन्न होइए, दया कीजिए और कहिए कि आपके समान कितने सर्वज्ञ-तीर्थकर होंगे ? मेरे समान कितने चक्रवर्ती होंगे ? कितने नारायण, कितने बलभद्र और कितने उनके शत्रु-प्रतिनारायण होंगे ? उनका अतीत चरित्र कैसा था ? वर्तमानमें और भविष्यत्में कैसा होगा ? हे वक्तृश्रेष्ठ, यह सब मैं आपसे सनना चाहता हूँ॥१६९-१७शाहे सबका हित करनेवाले जिनेन्द्र, यह भी कहिए कि वे सब

O Lord, the desire to know the special nature of the object, the feeling of greater benefit, the abundance of faith, or the desire to do something, is making me talkative in front of you. ||168||
O Lord, I want to hear the merit of the Tirthankaras and other great people, in which all the Dharma taught by the omniscient ones is collected. O God, be pleased with me, be merciful and tell me: How many omniscient Tirthankaras will there be like you? How many Chakravartis will there be like me? How many Narayanas, how many Balabhadra, and how many their enemies, the Pratinarayanas? What was their past character like? What will it be like in the present and the future? O best of speakers, I want to hear all this from you. ||169-170||
O Jinendra, who benefits everyone, also tell me: What will be the names of all of them? In which gotras will they be born? Who will be their siblings? What will be their characteristics? What kind of forms will they have? What will be their ornaments?
