એક છે સાધુને ધર્મ અને બીજે ગૃહસ્થને, અહિંસાદિ તે સર્વે સાધુનાં સાર્વભૌમ છે.
અને ગૃહસ્થ લોકેનાં અણુવ્રત ગણાય છે; સ્વભૂમિકા પ્રમાણે તે તેમણે પાળવાં ઘટે. ૩૨-૩૩
Dharma is of two kinds: one of monks and the other of house-holders. All the vows-Ahinsā and the others-of monks are set i.e. applicable in all places and at all times. And those vows (Ahinsã and the others) of house-holders are અધુરંત i.e. Small or limited. They should observe those vows according to their stage.
