અસત્ય બોલવું હિંસા, ચોરવું પણ તે જ છે, ક્રોધ, લેભ, અનાચાર એ બધું પણ તે જ છે.
માટે અસત્ય ને બીજાં સઘળાં પાપ વજેવાં; અહિંસા સાધકે, ત્યારે તેની સિદ્ધિ પમાય છે.

To tell a lie is Hinsā, to steal is Hinsā and anger, greed or every bad deed is Hipsā. So he who is inclined to accomplishment of Ahinsā, should avoid sin of falsehood and all other evils. Then the good virtue of Ahinsā is achieved. 15-16
