ઉપદેશસરિતા
One can not have absolute welfare wtthout being passionless and to be so one should be diligently devoted to removing or thioning one's attachment and aversion;
and attachment and aversion are destroyed by the potent influenee of inner wakefulness; and they being completely destroyed, one becomes the Supreme Being.
The true nature of Paramātmā or the Supreme Being, is passionlessness, and it is our chief goal and only by following the path leading to it, it is possible to reach the climax of welfare.
