વિદ્વત્તા ગુણવત્તાથી ચળકે છે વિશેષતા અને એથી મનુષ્યને આકર્ષે છે વિશેષતઃ. સૌજન્યહીન પાંડિત્ય માટે પણ અસાર છે; સૌજન્યશાલી પાંડિત્ય ડું પણ સસાર છે.

Erudition much shines and attracts the masses by being combined with virtuousness.
Erudition, however great it may be, is insipid, if devoid of goodness; and it (erudition) though ordinary, is valuable if beautified with goodness. 321 322,
