बावत्तरि-द्वासप्तत्ति-Seventy two. अलंभोगसमत्थ(र्थ)- Capable of enjoying pleasures (of senses). थेर स्थविर- Elder. The usual passage repeated by men who are going to renounce the world is to be repeated here. समण-श्रमण - A monk. चोद्दस पुव्वाईचतुर्दश पूर्वणि- The fourteen Purvas, or Ancient Texts', which are now lost. वास-वर्ष- Year. छ?-षष्ठ- A fast of two days. दुवालसम--- द्वादश-A fast of five days. खमण-क्षपण - A fast. अप्पाणं भावमाणा-आत्मानं भावयन्तः- Meditating, concentrating; exercising self-control.
