Origin of the Kadambas-by D. C. Sarcar: Traditionally Mayura was the progenitor of the Kadambas and their family nam had connection with the Kadamba tree. The writer of opinion that the Kadambas were originally Brahman: hailing from north, they served under the sālavahanas a found a kingdom in the Kuntala country afterwards.

Delhi Sultans as Patrous of Jaina Gurus of Karnataka-by B. A. Saletore. The writer discusses at length and points out that the Jain teachers Simhakirti and Visālakirti were honoured respectively by Muhammad Tughlaq and Sikandar Sar of Delhi.
