The management of the Swetamber Jain Temple and Dharamshalas is with Shri Hastinapur Jain Swetamber Tirth Committee at Ambala City and Delhi. They are making every effort to revive its old glory. Hastinapur and Jain History Hastinapur is a very ancient town which is mentioned in Jain, Vedic, Buddhist and Pali literature. In Jain traditions India is known as Bharat after the name of Bharat the eldest son of Lord Rishabha Dev and this town was founded as capital by his son Hasti Kumar.
