It was in your Highness's territory that the idea first suggested itself to me of translating these incomparable Lectures of Professor Max Müller. I am now reminded of this and of your Highness's desire to see the work taken in hand. Your Highness is accustomed to read such works and to have them read. Such studies are likely to prove congenial to your Highness just now owing to separation from your venerable Mother and such other causes.
