आगम सूत्र ३९, छेदसूत्र-५, 'महानिशीथ'
अध्ययन/उद्देश/सूत्रांक भाव-दोष समान विरस-कटु फल भुगतते हैं । अभी भी-शल्य से शल्यित होनेवाले वो भावि में भी अनन्तकाल तक विरस कटु फल भुगतते रहेंगे । इसलिए मुनि को जरा भी शल्य धारण नहीं करना चाहिए। सूत्र-११७
हे गौतम ! श्रमणी की कोई गिनती नहीं जो कलुषितता रहित, शल्यरहित, विशुद्ध, शुद्ध, निर्मल, विमल मानसवाली होकर, अभ्यंतर विशोधि से आलोचना करके साफ अतिचार आदि सर्व भावशल्य को यथार्थ तपोकर्म सेवन करके, प्रायश्चित्त पूरी तरह आचरण करके, पाप कर्म के मल के लेप समान कलंक धोकर-साफ करके उत्पन्न किए दिव्य-उत्तम केवलज्ञानवाली, महानुभाग, महायशा, महासत्त्व, संपन्ना, सुग्रहित, नामधारी, अनन्त उत्तम सुखयुक्त मोक्ष पाई हुई हैं। सूत्र - ११८-१२०
हे गौतम ! पुण्यभागी ऐसी कुछ साध्वी के नाम कहते हैं कि जो आलोचना करते हुए केवलज्ञान पाए हुए हैं। अरे रे ! मैं पापकर्म करनेवाली पापीणी-पापमती वाली हूँ। सचमुच पापीणी में भी अधिक पाप करनेवाली, अरे रे ! मैंने काफी दुष्ट चिन्तवन किया, क्योंकि इस जन्म में मुझे स्त्रीभाव पैदा हुआ तो भी अब घोर, वीर, उग्र कष्ट दायक तप संयम धारण करूँगी। सूत्र - १२१-१२५
अनन्ती पापराशि इकट्ठी हो तब पापकर्म के फल समान शुद्ध स्त्रीपन मिलता है । अब स्त्रीपन के उचित इकटे हए पापकर्म के समह को ऐसे पतले करूँकि जिससे स्त्री न बन और केवलज्ञान पाऊं । नजर से भी अब शीयल खंडन नहीं करूँगी, अब मैं श्रमण-केवली बनूँगी । अरे रे ! पूर्वे मन से भी मैंने कोई आहट्ट-दोहट्ट अति दुष्ट सोचा होगा । उसकी आलोचना करके मैं जल्द उसकी शुद्धि करूँगी और श्रमणी-केवली बनूँगी । मेरा रूप-लावण्य देखकर और कान्ति, तेज, शोभा देखकर कोई मानव समान तितली अधम होकर क्षय न हो उसके लिए अनशन
नाकर मैं श्रमणीपन में केवली बनूँगी। अब निश्चय से वायरा के अलावा किसी दूसरे का स्पर्श नहीं करूँगी। सूत्र - १२६-१२९
अब छ काय जीव का आरम्भ-समारम्भ नहीं करूँगी। श्रमणी-केवली बनूँगी । मेरे देह, कमर, स्तन, जाँघ, गुप्त स्थान के भीतर का हिस्सा, नाभि, जघनान्तर हिस्सा आदि सर्वांग ऐसे गोपन करूँगी कि वो जगह माँ को भी नहीं बताऊंगी । ऐसी भावना से साध्वी केवली बने । अनेक क्रोड़ भवान्तर मैंने किए, गर्भावास की परम्परा करते वक्त मैंने किसी तरह से पाप-कर्म का क्षय करनेवाला ज्ञान और चारित्रयुक्त सुन्दर मनुष्यता पाई है। अब पल-पल सर्व भावशल्य की आलोचना-निंदा करूँगी । दूसरी बार वैसे पाप न करने की भावना से प्रायश्चित्त अनुष्ठान करूँगी। सूत्र - १३०-१३२
जिसे करने से प्रायश्चित्त हो वैसे मन, वचन, काया के कार्य, पृथ्वी, पानी, अग्नि, वायु, वनस्पतिकाय और बीजकाय का समारम्भ, दो-तीन, चार-पाँच इन्द्रियवाले जीव का समारम्भ यानि हत्या नहीं करूँगी, झूठ नहीं बोलूंगी, धूल और भस्म भी न दिए हए ग्रहण नहीं करूँगी, सपने में भी मन से मैथुन की प्रार्थना नहीं करूँगी, परिग्रह नहीं करूँगी जिससे मूल गुण उत्तर-गुण की स्खलना न हो। सूत्र - १३३-१३६
मद, भय, कषाय, मन, वचन, काया समान तीन दंड़, उन सबसे रहित होकर गुप्ति और समिति में रमण करूँगी और इन्द्रियजय करूँगी, अठारह हजार शीलांगोसे युक्त शरीरवाली बनँगी, स्वाध्याय-ध्यान और योग में रमणता करूँगी । ऐसी श्रमणी केवली बनूँगी । तीन लोक का रक्षण करने में समर्थ स्तंभ समान धर्म तीर्थंकर ने जो लिंगचिह्न धारण किया है उसे धारण करनेवाली मैं शायद यंत्र में पीसकर मेरे शरीर के बीच में से दो खंड किए
