Verse 243
मामन्यमन्यं मां मत्वा भ्रान्तो भ्रान्तौ भवार्णवे । नान्योऽहमहमेवाहमन्योऽन्योऽहमस्ति न ॥२४३॥
अर्थ - मुझको (आत्मा को) अन्य शरीरादिरूप तथा शरीरादिकों में (आत्मा) समझकर यह प्राणी उक्त भ्रम के कारण अब तक संसाररूप समुद्र में घूमा है। वास्तव में मैं अन्य नहीं हूँ - शरीरादि नहीं हूँ; मैं, मैं ही हूँ; और अन्य (शरीरादि) अन्य ही हैं; अन्य मैं नहीं हूँ - इस प्रकार जब अभ्रान्त ज्ञान (विवेक) उत्पन्न होता है तब ही प्राणी उक्त संसाररूप समुद्र के परिभ्रमण से रहित होता है।
Mistaking the self (the soul) for the body (the others) and the body (the others) for the self (the soul), this soul has been wandering in the world. 'Certainly, I am not others, I am not the body, etc.; I am only I. And, the others (the body) are others only; others are not I.' When this true discernment dawns on the soul, it gets rid of wandering in the world.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
Acārya Pujyapāda's Samadhitantram:
स्वबुद्धया यावद्गृह्णीयात् कायवाक्चेतसां त्रयम् । संसारस्तावदेतेषां भेदाभ्यासे तु निर्वृतिः ॥६२॥
जब तक शरीर, वचन और मन इन तीनों को आत्मपने की बुद्धि से ग्रहण किया जाता है तभी तक संसार है और जब इन शरीर, वचन और मन का आत्मा से भिन्न होने रूप अभ्यास किया जाता है तब मुक्ति की प्राप्ति होती है।
