angry and they are roaming near you. They are just venom in form of women; do not fall prey to them.
क्रुद्धाः प्राणहरा भवन्ति भुजगा दष्ट्वैव काले क्वचित् तेषामौषधयश्च सन्ति बहवः सद्यो विषव्युच्छिदः । हन्युः स्त्रीभुजगाः पुरेह च मुहुः क्रुद्धाः प्रसन्नास्तथा योगीन्द्रानपि तान् निरौषधविषा दृष्टाश्च दृष्ट्वापि च ॥१२७॥
अर्थ - सर्प तो किसी विशेष समय में क्रोधित होते हुए केवल डस (काट) कर ही प्राणों का नाश करते हैं, तथा वर्तमान में उनके विष को नष्ट करने वाली बहुत-सी ओषधियाँ भी हैं। परन्तु स्त्रियोंरूप भुजंग (सर्प) तो क्रोधित होकर तथा प्रसन्न हो करके भी उन प्रसिद्ध महर्षियों
को भी इस लोक में और परलोक में भी बार-बार मार सकते हैं। वे जिसकी ओर देखें उसका तथा जो उनकी ओर देखता है उसका भी, दोनों का ही, घात करते हैं तथा उनके विष को दूर करने वाली कोई औषधि भी नहीं है।
The cobras can kill only at certain times, as they bite only in rage; further, there are many remedies for removing their poison. The women in form of cobras, however, can kill in rage and in love, here and hereafter, over and over again, not sparing even the master-ascetics. They kill both, those they see and those who see them. And, there is no remedy for removing their poison.
