Damoda Drishti: There is no dispute for the knower of the non-dual supreme reality
(405) For one who knows this state of nirvana without delusion, truly. For the discerning, there is no dispute in devotion to that. 132
Meaning - This state of nirvana has been known truly without delusion. For the discerning (intelligent) ones, there is no dispute regarding devotion to it.
Explanation - The supreme, undisturbed, flawless and inactive state of nirvana described earlier has been known truly, without any delusion, through right discernment. For the wise thinkers, there is no dispute regarding devotion to it, because there is no distinction in the knowledge of the reality. There is no dispute, because that would contradict the very nature of the discerning ones - those who constantly focus on the ultimate truth. Even if there are differences in the modes of worship and devotion towards that non-dual reality, the wise do not at all care about it, because the goal is one, even if the paths may be diverse. Just as one can reach Nagpur through different routes like Mumbai, Delhi, Madras etc., similarly, although the followers of different philosophical traditions may worship the nirvana principle in different ways, if their ultimate goal is the same, there is no scope for any dispute regarding devotion to it. Therefore, the knowers of the principle do not get entangled in the meaningless disputes about the various spiritual practices. Because the true knowers of the nirvana principle, who have its complete understanding, never dispute with each other; in fact, they consider all those who worship that supreme nirvana principle as their own spiritual brethren. But the ignorant ones, who lack the awareness of the nirvana principle, though completely distant from it, dispute about it - what? That is, for the discerning ones, there is no dispute regarding devotion to that nirvana principle, because of the absence of distinction in the knowledge of the reality, not because it would contradict their discernment.
