(112) ગદષ્ટિસમુચય ઉત્કૃષ્ટ વ્યક્તિ છે, વિશ્વની વિશિષ્ટ શ્રેષ્ઠ વિભૂતિ છે. એટલે ઉત્તમ પુરુષની ભક્તિ ઉત્તમ ગબીજ થઈ પડે છે, કારણ કે તે મેક્ષ સાથે જનાર-જોડનાર અનુષ્ઠાનનું કારણ થાય છે. “ઉત્તમ ગુણ અનુરાગથી સાહે, લહીએ ઉત્તમ કામ રે...ગુણ ઉત્તમ નિજ મહિમા વધે સાહેલ, દીપે ઉત્તમ ધામ રે...ગુણવ”—શ્રી યશોવિજયજી “ઉત્તમ સંગે રે ઉત્તમતા વધે, સધે આનંદ અનતેજી;” નીરાગીથી રે રાગનું જોડવું, લહીએ ભવને પારજી.”— “નિમિત્ત હેતુ જિનરાજ, સમતા અમૃત ખાણી; પ્રભુ અવલંબન સિદ્ધિ, નિયમા એહ વખાણી.”–શ્રી દેવચંદ્રજી આમ અત્રે યેગમાર્ગમાં-મોક્ષમાર્ગમાં ભગવાન શાસ્ત્રકારે પ્રભુભક્તિને પ્રથમ સ્થાન આપ્યું છે. જેણે પરમ આત્મસ્વરૂપને પ્રગટપણે પ્રાપ્ત કર્યું છે, જેને પરમ પૂજ્ય એ શુદ્ધ આત્મસ્વભાવ પ્રગટયો છે, એવા ગુણનિધાન વીતરાગ પરમાત્માની યથાશક્તિ ભક્તિ કરવી, એ રોગ-પ્રાસાદનું પ્રથમ પગથિયું છે, મોક્ષવૃક્ષનું ઉત્તમ બીજ છે. જે શુદ્ધ ભાવે પ્રભુભક્તિ કરે છે, તે અવશ્ય મોક્ષફળ પામે જ છે. “જિનપતિ ભક્તિ મુક્તિને મારગ, અનુપમ શિવસુખ કંદો રે.”—શ્રી દેવચંદ્રજી “ભક્તિ વિના નવિ મુક્તિ હવે કે ભક્તને, રૂપી વિના તે તે ન હવે કોઈ વ્યક્તને.”–શ્રી રૂપવિજયજી કારણ કે પ્રભુને ભજવાથી, પ્રભુનું નામ જપવાથી, પ્રભુના ગુણનું સ્મરણ કરવાથી, પ્રભુનું સ્તવન કરવાથી, પ્રભુના ચરિત્રનું સંકીર્તન કરવાથી, પ્રભુનું સ્વરૂપ ચિંતવવાથી, પ્રભુનું ધ્યાન ધરવાથી, ને પ્રભુ સાથે અભેદપણું ભાવવાથી, ભજનાર ભક્તજનને જિનપદ નિજ પોતાના આત્મસ્વરૂપનું ભાન થાય છે. ઘેટાના ટેળામાં રહેલે સિંહપદ એકતા” શિશુ પિતાનું સ્વરૂપ ભૂલી ગયા હોય છે, પણ જે તે સિંહને દેખે છે કે તરત તેને પોતાના સાચા સ્વરૂપનું ભાન થાય છે. તેમ ભક્તજનને પ્રભુ સાથે તન્મયતા સાધતાં પોતાનું મૂળ શુદ્ધ સહજ આત્મસ્વરૂપ સ્મૃતિમાં આવે છે. એટલે ખરી રીતે પરમાર્થથી પ્રભુની ભક્તિ-આરાધના તે પિતાના આત્મસ્વરૂપની ભક્તિ આરાધના છે. આ અંગે મહાત્માઓના સુભાષિત છે કે - વ્યવહારસે દેવ જિન, નિગૅસે હું આપ; ચેહી બનસે સમજ લે, જિન પ્રવચનકી છાપ. જિનપદ નિજપદ એકતા, ભેદભાવ નહિ કોઈ, લક્ષ થવાને તેહને, કહ્યાં શાસ્ત્ર સુખદાઈ.”—શ્રીમદ્ રાજચંદ્રજી

One who performs devotion to the Lord with pure intention, is sure to attain the fruit of liberation. “Devotion to the Jina is the path to liberation, the unparalleled seed of auspicious happiness.”—Shri Devchandraji “Without devotion, there is no liberation, nor is there any individual without form.”–Shri Rupvijayji Because by worshipping the Lord, by chanting the Lord’s name, by remembering the Lord’s qualities, by praising the Lord, by singing the Lord’s character, by contemplating the Lord’s form, by meditating on the Lord, and by feeling oneness with the Lord, the devotee becomes aware of the Jina’s own self-nature. “The lion’s nature remains in the flock of sheep” A child forgets the form of its father, but when it sees the lion, it immediately becomes aware of its true nature. Similarly, when the devotee becomes absorbed in the Lord, his original pure innate self-nature is remembered. Therefore, truly, devotion and worship of the Lord with a selfless intention is devotion and worship of the father’s self-nature. Regarding this, the great souls have said: “In worldly affairs, the Lord is the Jina, in solitude, I am the Lord; understand this, it is the imprint of the Jina’s teachings.
