भावार्थ : संसार में हाथी, घोड़ा, गाय, बैल आदि के संग्रह से बनी हुई राज्यलक्ष्मी होती है, तो क्या योगिजनों के मन में ज्ञान, ध्यान और प्रशम से उत्पन्न अन्तरंग लक्ष्मी नहीं होती? अवश्य होती है । तथा जैसे इस संसार में बाह्य स्त्रियाँ हैं, इसी प्रकार योगियों के मानस में स्थित आत्मरति (आत्मा के प्रति प्रीति) क्या स्त्रीरूप में नहीं रहती? है ही । अतः कौन विद्वान् इस स्वाधीन सुख को छोड़कर पराधीन सुख की वांछा करेगा? ॥२५॥
पराधीनं शर्म क्षयि विषयकांक्षौघमलिनं, भवे भीतिस्थानं तदपि कुमतिस्तत्र रमते ॥ बुधास्तु स्वाधीनेऽक्षयिणि करणौत्सुक्यरहिते । निलीनास्तिष्ठन्ति प्रगलितभयाध्यात्मिकसुखे ॥२६॥

भावार्थ : संसार में जितने भी सुख हैं, वे सभी पराधीन, विनाशी, क्षणिक एवं विषयाकांक्षाओं से मलिन और भयदायक हैं, फिर भी कुबुद्धि व्यक्ति उसमें आनन्द मानता है परन्तु विद्वान्, तो स्वाधीन, अक्षय, इन्द्रियों की अपेक्षा या उत्सुकता से रहित एवं भयविहीन अध्यात्मसुख में मग्न रहते हैं ॥ २६॥
तदेतद् भाषंते जगदभयदानं खलु भवस्वरूपानुध्यानं शमसुखनिदानं कृतधियः ॥

**Tadetad bhaṣante jagadabhayadanam khalu bhavasvarupanudhyanam samasukhnidānam kṛtadhiyaḥ:** This is what the wise say: contemplation of the true nature of existence is the source of fearlessness in the world, and the foundation of peace and happiness. ||42||
