क्रूर गिद्ध ऊपर (मस्तक पर या आकाश में) घूम रहे हैं। इस कारण सचमुच यह संसार महामोहराजा की रणभूमि ही है ॥१९॥ हसन्ति क्रीडन्ति क्षणमथ च खिद्यन्ति बहुधा, रुदन्ति क्रन्दन्ति क्षणमपि विवादं विदधते ॥ पलायन्ते मोदं दधति परिनृत्यन्ति विवशा, भवे मोहोन्मादं कमपि तनुभाजः परिगताः ॥२०॥
भावार्थ : इस संसार में मोह के अपूर्व उन्माद से उन्मत्त बने हुए प्राणी परवश होकर क्षण में हँसते हैं, किसी क्षण खेलने लग जाते हैं, किसी क्षण खिन्न हो उठते हैं, किसी समय रोने लगते हैं, किसी क्षण जोर से चिल्लाते हैं, विलाप करते हैं, फिर दूसरे ही क्षण विवाद करने लगते हैं, क्षणभर में फिर भागदौड़ करने लगते हैं, किसी क्षण हर्षित होकर नाचने लगते हैं; संसार में ये सब अद्भुत चेष्टाएँ मोह में उन्मत्त होकर प्राणी करते हैं ॥२०॥ अपूर्णा विद्येव प्रकटखलमैत्रीव कुनयप्रणालीवास्थाने विधववनितायौवनमिव । अनिष्णाते पत्यौ मृगदृश इव स्नेहलहरी । भवक्रीडा व्रीडा दहति हृदयं तात्त्विकदृशाम् ॥२१॥
