भावार्थ : शरीरादि बहिरात्मा हैं, उनका अधिष्ठाता अन्तरात्मा को प्राप्त करता है तथा समग्र उपाधि से रहित जो आत्मा है, उसे ही ज्ञानियों ने परमात्मा कहा है ॥२१॥ विषयकषायावेशः तत्त्वाऽश्रद्धा गुणेषु च द्वेषः । आत्माऽज्ञानं च यदा, बाह्यात्मा स्यात्तदा व्यक्तः ॥२२॥
भावार्थ : जब विषयों और कषायों का आवेश होता हो, तत्त्व के प्रति अश्रद्धा हो, गुणों के प्रति द्वेष हो और आत्मा के विषय में अज्ञानता हो तब स्पष्टतः समझना चाहिए कि वह बहिरात्मा है ॥२२॥ तत्वश्रद्धाज्ञानं महाव्रतान्यप्रमादपरता च । मोहजयश्च यदा स्यात्तदान्तरात्मा भवेद् व्यक्तः ॥२३॥
भावार्थ : जब तत्त्व पर श्रद्धा हो, आत्मा का ज्ञान हो, महाव्रत हों, अप्रमादपरता हो तथा मोह पर विजय हो जाय तो स्पष्ट है कि वह अन्तरात्मा है ॥२३॥ ज्ञानं केवलसंज्ञं योगनिरोधः समग्रकर्महतिः । सिद्धिनिवासश्च यदा परमात्मा स्यात्तदा व्यक्तः ॥२४॥
भावार्थ : जब केवलज्ञान, योग का निरोध, सम्पूर्ण कर्मों का क्षय, सिद्धि–मुक्ति में निवास हो जाय, तब स्पष्टतः वह परमात्मा हो जाता है ॥२४॥ आत्ममनोगुणवृत्तीविविच्य यः प्रतिपदं विजानाति । कुशलानुबन्धयुक्त प्राप्नोति ब्रह्मभूयमसौ ॥२५॥ २९४
