उससे भिन्न प्रकार की तपस्या कदापि निर्जरा नहीं दिलाती है ॥१५९॥ तपस्वी जिनभक्त्या च शासनोद्भासनोत्थया। पुण्यं बध्नाति बहुलं मुच्यते तु गतस्पृहः ॥१६०॥
भावार्थ : तपस्वी (मुनि) शासन (संघ) की उन्नति जिन-भक्ति से अत्यधिक पुण्य बांधता है और सब प्रकार की स्पृहा से रहित तपस्वी मुक्त हो जाता है ॥१६०॥ कर्मतापकरं ज्ञानं तपस्तन्नैव वेत्ति यः । प्राप्नोति स हतस्वान्तो विपुलां निर्जरां कथम् ॥१६१॥
भावार्थ : जो तपस्वी यह नहीं जानता है कि कर्म को तपाने वाला ज्ञान ही तप है; वह नष्टचित्त वाला मुनि महान् निर्जरा कैसे कर सकता है ? ॥१६१॥ अज्ञानी तपसा जन्मकोटिभिः कर्म यन्नयेत् । अन्तं ज्ञानतपोयुक्तस्तत्क्षणेनैव संहरेत् ॥१६२॥
भावार्थ : अज्ञानी मनुष्य जिस कर्म का तपस्या से करोड़ों जन्मों में नष्ट करता है, उसी कर्म को ज्ञान और तप से युक्त मुनि क्षण भर में ही नष्ट कर डालता है ॥१६२॥
