__ भावार्थ : विशेषग्राही नय आत्मा के धर्मों की उत्पत्ति का कथन करते हैं । उन्हें आवरण के कारण अव्यक्ति (अनभिव्यक्ति) नहीं है, आत्मधर्म के अभाव से अव्यक्ति नहीं है, इसमें क्या प्रमाण है? ॥१४॥ सत्वं च परसन्ताने नोपयुक्तं कथच्चन । सन्तानिनामनित्यत्वात् सन्तानोऽपि च न ध्रुवः ॥१५॥
भावार्थ : परसन्तान में सत्व किसी भी तरह उपयुक्त नहीं होते और सन्तानी की अनित्यता होने से सन्तान भी ध्रुव (नित्य) नहीं होते । जैस पिता से पुत्ररूप सन्तान की उत्पत्ति में पूर्व-पूर्व पितारूप कारण से उत्तरोत्तर पुत्ररूप कार्य की उत्पत्ति होती है, इससे पहले पितृत्व का अभाव और पुत्रत्व का अभाव होता जाता है। इस प्रकार परम्परा से चलते-चलते जैसे पितृत्व का नाश होता है, वैसे पुत्रत्व का भी नाश होता जाता है। इसी तरह परसन्तान से यानी अपने से अतिरिक्त अनात्मा (जड़ पुद्गल) से विविधकाल में आत्मा की उत्पत्ति और विनाश की परम्परा चलती है । अर्थात उत्पत्तिरूप प्रवाह से पर्व का अभाव (विनाश) और उत्तर की उत्पत्ति (भाव) होती है । इसके अनुसार पहले पूर्व का, फिर उत्तर का नाश सिद्ध होगा
