जीव के स्वभाव से ही होती है, किन्तु दोनों के स्वभाव से ही उत्पन्न हुई है, होती है; क्योंकि दोनों में से एक का वियोग (अभाव) हो तो संसार का ही अभाव हो जाता है । अन्य किसी भी तत्त्व से संसार की स्थिति नहीं होती ॥२६॥ श्वेतद्रव्यकृतं श्वैत्यं भित्तिभागे यथा द्वयोः । भात्यनन्तर्भवच्छून्यं प्रपञ्चोऽपि तथेक्ष्यताम् ॥२७॥
भावार्थ : जैसे दीवार पर सफेद द्रव्य से की हुई सफेदी (उज्ज्वलता) उन दोनों में अन्तर्भूत हुए बिना सुशोभित होती है, वैसे हो प्रपंच (संसार के विस्तार) को समझना चाहिए ॥२७॥ यथा स्वप्नावबुद्धोऽर्थो विबुद्धेन न दृश्यते । व्यवहारमतः सर्गो ज्ञानिना न तथेक्ष्यते ॥२८॥
भावार्थ : जैसे स्वप्न में देखा हुआ पदार्थ जागने के बाद नहीं दिखता, वैसे ही व्यवहार से माना हुआ सर्ग (संसार) ज्ञानी को नहीं दिखता ॥२८॥ मध्याह्ने मृगतृष्णायां पयःपूरो यथेक्ष्यते । तथा संयोगजः सर्गो विवेकाख्याति-विप्लवे ॥२९॥
भावार्थ : जैसे मध्याह्न समय में मृगमरीचिका में जल का प्रवाह उमड़ता दिखाई देता है, वैसे ही विवेक की यथार्थज्ञान वाली प्राप्ति के आवरण के कारण संयोग से उत्पन्न हुआ संसार दिखाई देता है ॥२९॥ २३०
