आरोप्य केवलं कर्मकृतां विकृतिमात्मनि । भ्रमन्ति भ्रष्टविज्ञाना भीमे संसारसागरे ॥१६॥
भावार्थ : केवल कर्मजनित विकार का आत्मा में आरोपण करने से ज्ञानभ्रष्ट हुए जीव संसारसागर में परिभ्रमण करते हैं ॥१६॥ उपाधिभेदजं भेदं वेत्त्यज्ञः स्फटिके यथा । तथा कर्मकृतं भेदमात्मन्येवाभिमन्यते ॥१७॥
भावार्थ : जैसे मूर्ख मनुष्य उपाधि के भेद से उत्पन्न हुए भेद को स्फटिक में भेदरूप जानता है, वैसे ही कर्मकृत भेद को वह आत्मा के विषय में मानता है ॥१७॥ उपाधिकर्मजो नास्ति व्यवहारस्त्वकर्मः। इत्यागमवचो लुप्तमात्मवैरूप्यवादिना ॥१८॥
भावार्थ : कर्मरहित जीव (आत्मा) के लिए उपाधिरूपकर्म से उत्पन्न हुआ व्यवहार नहीं होता । इसलिए आत्मा के विषय में विपरीत कथन करने वालों ने आगमवचन का लोप किया है ॥१८॥ एकक्षेत्रस्थितोऽप्येति नाऽऽत्मा कर्मगुणान्वयम् । तथाऽभव्यस्वभावत्वाच्छुद्धो धर्मास्तिकायवत् ॥१९॥
भावार्थ : धर्मास्तिकाय के समान आत्मा एक क्षेत्र में रहते हुए भी वह (शुद्ध आत्मा) कर्मगुणों से संयुक्त नहीं होती, अधिकार अठारहवाँ
