तेजोलेश्याविवृद्धिर्या पर्यायक्रमवृद्धितः । भाषिता भगवत्यादौ सेत्थंभूतस्य युज्यते ॥४१॥
भावार्थ : दीक्षापर्याय के क्रम की वृद्धि के साथ जो तेजोलेश्या की वृद्धि भगवती आदि सूत्रों में कही गई है, वह इस प्रकार के योगी के लिए उचित है, योग्य है ॥४१॥ विषमेऽपि समेक्षी यः स ज्ञानी स च पण्डितः । जीवन्मुक्तः स्थिरं ब्रह्म तथा चोक्तं परैरपि ॥४२॥
भावार्थ : जो विष में भी समदृष्टि रखता है, वही ज्ञानी है, पण्डित है, जीवन्मुक्त है और स्थिर तथा ब्रह्म भी वही है। अन्य दर्शनकारों ने भी यही कहा है। जाति, कुल, रूप, विनय, विद्या, ऐश्वर्य, बुद्धि आदि से हीन या अधिक (विषम) जीवों को देखकर जिस आत्मा में समदृष्टि है, अर्थात् जो समभाव से देखता है, वही पुरुष सर्व ज्ञेयवस्तु का ज्ञाता है, वही पण्डित (विद्वता के फलस्वरूप क्रिया में दक्ष) है, वह संसार में रहते हुए भी जीवन्मुक्त इस जन्म में कर्मबन्धरहित है । और वही स्थिर (निश्चल) परमात्मस्वरूप ब्रह्म को प्राप्त करता है । यही बात भगवद्गीता अ.५ श्लोक १८ में कही गई है— ॥४२॥ विद्या-विनयसम्पन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि । शुनि चैव श्वपाके च पण्डिताः समदर्शिनः ॥४३॥
