होगा और उस स्मरण के बिना अनुमान नहीं होगा । और उस अनुमान के बिना कुर्वद्रूप की सिद्धि अर्थात् निश्चय होगा नहीं, तथा निश्चय के बिना प्रत्यक्षप्रमाण भी नहीं होगा ||३७|| एकताप्रत्यभिज्ञानं क्षणिकत्वं च बाधते । योऽहमन्वभवं सोऽहं स्मरामीत्यवधारणात् ॥३८॥

भावार्थ : एकत्व का प्रत्यभिज्ञान क्षणिकत्व का बाधक है । क्योंकि प्रत्यभिज्ञान में 'जो मैंने पहले अनुभव किया था, उसे मैं स्मरण करता हूँ' ऐसा निश्चय होता है ॥३८॥ नास्मिन् विषयबाधो यत्क्षणिकेऽपि यथैकता । नानाज्ञानान्वये तद्वत् स्थिरे नानाक्षणान्वये ॥३९॥
भावार्थ : नित्य (चिरकालस्थायी) एक आत्मा में इस विषय की बाधा नहीं आती । कारण, जैसे बौद्धमत में क्षणिक आत्मा में भी नाना प्रकार के ज्ञान का सम्बन्ध करने में एकतारूप दोष नहीं आता, वैसे ही स्थिर आत्मा में भी नाना प्रकार के अनेक क्षणों के साथ सम्बन्ध करने में कोई दोष नहीं आता ॥ ३९ ॥ नानाकार्येक्यकरणस्वाभाव्ये च विरुध्यते । स्याद्वादसंनिवेशेन नित्यत्वेऽर्थक्रिया न हि ॥४०॥
भावार्थ : नाना प्रकार के कार्यों की एकता करने के स्वभाव में विरोध आता है । और स्वावाद की स्थापना करने से नित्य आत्मा में अर्थक्रिया में विरोध नहीं आता ॥ ४०॥
