भावार्थ : हिंसा और अहिंसा के विपाक की दृष्टि से यह भेद है, कारण, तथा प्रकार की शक्ति के नियोग से प्रतिपक्ष के अन्तराल को लेकर तत्काल या कालान्तर में उसका उदय होता है ॥५४॥
हिंसाऽप्युत्तरकालीन - विशिष्टगुणसंक्रमात् । व्यक्ताविध्यनुबन्धत्वादहिंसैवातिभक्तितः ॥५५॥
भावार्थ : धर्मकार्य में विशिष्ट गुणों की प्राप्ति होने से तथा अतिभक्ति से अविधि के अनुबन्ध का त्याग करने से अहिंसा ही कहलाती है ॥५५ ॥
ईदृग्भंगशतोपेताऽहिंसा यत्रोपवर्ण्यते । सर्वांशपरिशुद्धं तत् प्रमाणं जिनशासनम् ॥५६॥
भावार्थ : जिस शासन में इस प्रकार के सैकड़ों भंग (विकल्प) - सहित अहिंसा का वर्णन किया गया है, वह सर्वांश अतिशुद्ध जिनशासन (जिनमत) ही प्रमाणभूत है ॥५६॥ अर्थोऽयमपरोऽनर्थ इति निर्धारणं हृदि । आस्तिक्यं परमं चिह्नं सम्यक्त्वस्य जगुर्जिनाः ॥५७॥
भावार्थ : अहिंसा का उपर्युक्त सारे अर्थ - सद्वस्तु हैं, इसके अतिरिक्त सारे अनर्थ - असद्रूप हैं, इस प्रकार हृदय में निश्चय करना सम्यक्त्व का आस्तिक्यरूप उत्कृष्ट चिह्न है, ऐसा जिनेश्वरों ने कहा है ॥५७॥
