Shree Chouthamalji Muni. I have seen and heard him and have a bird's eye view of his life as published in the said book. Looking to the present condition of the sect to which he belongs, I am bound to say that the community owes much to him for the popularity he has given to the main principles of Jainism by his public lectures. He seems to understand human psychology and is able to impress his views upon the masses. It is creditable of him that he does not, like most of his colleagues, omit preaching social reform to the orthodox audience wherever he happens to go. The book contaius photographs and introduction of certain princes and wealthy merchants, both Jain as well as non-Jain who are devoted to him.
