of Bengal. Bijayanagar-1. Padmavati. 2. Padmapura. 3. Bidyanagara, at the confluence of the Sindh
and Para in Malwa. It was the birth-place of the poet Bhavabhậti. The scene of the Malati-Madhava has been placed at Padmavati, which, however, is supposed to be Ujjayini (see Ujin). 4. Hampi on the river Tungabhadra (see Bijayanagara). 5. Bijayapura of the Pavanaduta, which was the capital of the Sena RajAs of Bengal, situated near
