Jadolan: a ceremony observed when for the first time a boy's hair is cut or a girl's and nose are bored for a ring. It is observed round about Kumharsain at the Matri Dei temple of Adsbakti. Simla Hills.
Jagannu: a torch of pine or cedarwood splinters. Kangra Gloss.
Jagjup: a picture of Ganesh carved on a piece of stone or wood and set up in a hou. when completed, i. q., odstú ( 7 udsti) (8. Vástu, the deity of a house.). Kangra.
Jahar= jahir (P. D. p. 467). Jahir pir: the greatest of the snake kings. Cf. bdgarwala. JAhlu: when, at the time when ; táhlu, then; khalu, at what time. Kangra Gloss. JAhra : the handle of a spade or koddl. Kanigra Gloss. Jakat: a little boy ; munu is also used ; muni, of a girl. Kingra Gloss.
