(In) the forty-ninth year of the reign of the king Visaiya-Dantivikkiramaparumar, (while) Vijayaditta-Mabávali-Vāņariyar was ruling the earth, I, Ayyapporri, alias Kaliyamangalan-gilir, one of the Ganas ruling Tiravippiramapēdu, set apart the plot of land named Nandikaņdil sitasted in the bed of our Tumbaperi, as the ērichchěru (.e., land allotted for doing something to seri, a lake) for the Velļēri (lake) of this village. I assigned this for deepening the Velleri (lake) with the produce obtained from this (cheru). This charity shall endnre as long as the moon and son last. Those who forward the cause of this charity shall acquire the merit of having performed an aitamëdha sacrifice). * This word literally means a plot of land. Regarding the usage of this, Nachohinarkkipiyar, the eminent Tamil commentator, mys that it so wond by the people of Aruvinatu in the place of soy (the same as oeurs in wafgjoy, pwjey, 4c.).
