Translation, Those who have received a blow from the Word ; To them what is a river, a well, a tank, a ditch or a fort? What is a spear, a knife, a dagger, a shelid ? What is a mother, a brother, a father, or a wife's anxiety ? Saith Kabir :-"Brothers and saints, listen to me: any protection is behind the spiritual guide, To those who have received a blow from the Word."

Text. Dewârî men minnat tibârâ ! A yo saran Dewari men minnat tihara Augun hai, dowâ; gun nabii mujh méó. Merå karð nistara ! Dewari mên minnat tihara ! Nangon nangon pairon, dewi, Akbar îyâ, sunke nam tumhara ! Dewêri men minnat tibârâ !
..Translation. At the Dewart, thou art worshipped ! I have sought thy protection at the Dewari. O godling, I have many defects and no good quality. Be my support! At the Dewârî thou art worsbipped ! O godling, Akbar came to pay his respects to thee bare-footed hearing of thy fame! At the Dewari thou art worshipped !

Text. Ab tô dil lag rahe cbaran men tibâre. Pratham yog jagmagât unch nich târe. Markand, Shesh, Gang, Indradaman tare. Gokulâ mon janm linho, Pari ko sidha ro. Baudh rûp baithi rahê kit makat dhåre Yatri sab jane na pâwêv roki, gaye nyare, Dosh pâp chhuti gaye pânch keta se tumhare. Markaņd, Shesh, Gang, Garud khambh dware; Ram Dân charan âye, Jagannath pywre.
Translation. Now my heart is set on thy feet (worship). Thy fame as the giver of salvation to the high and low is shining. Thon gavest salvation to Márkaņd, Shesh, Gang and Indradaman. Thou wert born in Gokul and wentest to Päri. Thou sittest in the form of Bandh with a crown and ear-ornaments. The pilgrims are not allowed to go to thee and they are kept away from thee. (On seeing thy flag) from a distance of ten miles all sins and faults are destroyed. The columns on the doors are (under the designations of) MArkad, Shesh, Gang, Garnd; O beloved Jagannath, Râm Dâs has taken refuge in thee.
