1922 after the name of his well-known father, late Babu Deokumar Jain of Arrah. This has published eleven books up-till now, in which Jain Litrature in Tamil, Prasthai-Sangrah, Jain-Pratima-Lekha-Sangrah', 'Baidhya-SarSangrah' and Muni Subrut Kabya are of much application and importance.
3. Syadwad Prakashan Mandir:-This house has translated Jain Books of Kanara Literature in hindi with a great zeal and enthusism. This has published up till now 'Dharmamrit', 'Ratnakar Satka I, and II, III part in a quite new and nevel way.
In this way Jain publications in Shahabad have justly gained a neme and maintaining it in right earnest. Several journals and magazines have also appeared from here and one is still continuing. A few important from those are:
1. The Jain Gazette :-This was edited by illustrious late Babu Deo Kumar Jain from 1899 to the end of his life in 1907. This magazine was the torch bearer of the Jain religion, philosophy and literature in all walks of life. Now-a-days its files also are of great use to the Jains.
2. Shree Jain Sidhant Bhasker and Jain Antiquary -This is a research paper of Jain Literature published under the auspices of Jain Sidhant Bhawan. This was issued in 1911 in the beginning but due to unfavourable circumstances it stopped its publication but from 1934 it has been regularly appearing up till now, This is a high class periodical which is subscribed by most of the intellectual aristocrats of the country and the centres of research works. Research works are published in this paper written by eminent scholars of the country. Before long it was tri-monthly but now it is published twice a year.
3. Jain Mahila Parishad.-Edited by Bidushi Ratna Pandita Chanda Bai from 1921. This is the only paper worth mentioning for women, in Jain community. This paper serves as a beacon light to social and religious reforms of the women. The editorial note is full of bristling gems of noble thoughts and constructive ideas.
This shows the literaray progress of Janism in Shahabad in brief. This is really a matter of great pride for Shahabad.
There are also several institutions popularising Janism in Shahabad. They are unique of their type a few among them being.
1. Shree Jain Sidhant Bhawan :-This was established by late Shree Deo Kumar in 1905 which is now housed in a beautiful up-to-date building built at a cost of thousands of rupees. She Library has now become a growing institution having 17000 high class books on different topics conceming all the religions and almost all the schools of philosophy of the world,
