૧૫૬. આંતરિક શુદ્ધિ થવાથી બાહ્ય શુદ્ધિ પણ તિયમા થાય છે. આંતરિક દોષથી જ માતવ બાહ્ય દોષ કરે છે.
156. With internal purification, external purification is also, as a matter of rule, taking place. External faults are committed because of internal faults.
१५७. मदमाणमायलोह - विवज्जियभावो दु भावसुद्ध । भव्वाणं, लोयालो यप्पदरिसीहिं || ६ ||

मद, मान, माया और लोभ से रहित भाव ही भावशुद्धि है, ऐसा लोकालोक के ज्ञाता द्रष्टा सर्वज्ञदेव का भव्य जीवों के लिए उपदेश है ।

મદ, માત, માયા અને લોભ વગરતા ભાવ જ ભાવશુદ્ધિ છે, આવા લોકાલોકતા જ્ઞાતા-દ્રષ્ટા, સર્વજ્ઞદેવતો ભવ્ય જીવોને માટે ઉપદેશ છે.
157. Feelings without inherent pride, (ego), deceipt and greed are only pure feelings. Such is the sermons of Lords, who are omniscient knower and viewer/perceptor of 'Lokalok' Jnata drasta to the souls capable to achieve liberation.
१५८. जह व णिरुद्धं असुहं, सुहेण, सुहमवि तहेव सुद्धेण । तम्हा एण कमेण य, जोई झाएउ णियआदं ||७|| शुभ के द्वारा अशुभ का निरोध किया जाता है और शुद्ध के द्वारा शुभ का । योगी इसी क्रम से आत्मा का ध्यान करे ।
૧૫૮. શુભથી અશુભતો તિરોધ કરવામાં આવે છે અને શુદ્ધથી શુભતો. યોગી આ ક્રમથી આત્માનું ધ્યાન કરે.
158. Inauspicious is checked / controlled through auspicious and later in turn, is controlled by Pure. An ascetic is meditating upon the inner soul following this order.
