૩૫૬. અહિંસા, સત્ય, અસ્તેય, બ્રહ્મચર્ય અને અપરિગ્રહ આ પાંચ
મહાવ્રતોને અંગીકાર કરીને વિદ્વાન મુતિએ જિતેશ્વરોએ
ઉપદેશેલા ધર્મનું આચરણ કરવું. 356. A Learned Ascetic is required to follow the
command by observing/following the religion propagated by Lord Jineshwar, by accepting vows of Non Violence, Truth, Unstealing, Cellibacy and Possessionlessness. (Uttaradhyayan Ch. 21 v. 12.)
३५७ जिणवयणे अणुरत्ता जिणवयणं जे करंति भावेणं । अमला असंकिलिट्ठा ते होंति परित्तसंसारी ॥
(૩ત્તરાધ્યયન મ. રૂદ, . ર૧૬) जो जिनवचन में अनुरक्त है (विश्वास रखनेवाले), जो जिनवचन के अनुसार क्रिया अनुष्ठान भावसे करते हैं जो मिथ्यात्व के मल से रहित है तथा जो राग द्वेष के संकलेश से रहित है वे परितसंसारी (मर्यादित संसारयुक्त कनते हैं।
(૩ત્તરાધ્યયન ક. ૩૬, ૫. ર૬૬) ૩૫૭. જેઓ જિતવચનમાં અનુરક્ત (વિશ્વાસ રાખનાર), જેઓ
જિતવચન અનુસાર ક્રિયાઓ ભાવપૂર્વક કરે છે; જેઓ મિથ્યાત્વતા મલથી રહિત છે તથા જેઓ રાગ-દ્વેષતા સંકલેશથી રહિત છે, તેઓ મર્યાદિત સંસારવાળા બને છે.

357. Those who are deeply engrossed in sermons
of Jain and have a faith in them and those who practice with devotion all the rituals (activities) accordingly (As sermoned by Jina) and those who are devoid of dir of false belief as also free from disturbance of attachment & aversion become souls with limited life span.
