ઘણા લોકો સંયમમાં રુચિ રાખતા હોવા છતાં એતો સમ્યક્રરૂપે સ્વીકાર કરી શકતા નથી..
291. After hearing the religious sermons and
having faith in it, action/activities in that direction is rare and difficult. Many persons, despite having/keeping taste for spirituality/ restrained life, fail to accept them properly.
२९२. भावणाजोग-सुद्धप्पा, जले णावा व आहिया ।
नावा व तीर-संपण्णा, सव्वदुक्खा तिउट्टइ ॥१८॥
भावना-योग से शुद्ध आत्मा को जल में नौका के समान कहा गया है । जैसे अनुकूल पवन का सहारा पाकर नौका किनारे पहुँच जाती है, वैसे ही शुद्ध आत्मा संसार के पार पहुँचती है, जहाँ उसके समस्त दुःखों का अन्त हो जाता है ।
૨૯૨. ભાવતા-યોગથી શુદ્ધ થયેલ આત્માને પાણીમાં તરતી તૌકા
સમાત કહેલ છે. જેવી રીતે અનુકૂળ પવનતી સહાયથી નૌકા કિનારે પહોંચી જાય છે, તેવી જ રીતે શુદ્ધ આત્મા સંસારતો પાર પામી જાય છે અને એનાં બધાં દુઃખોનો અંત આવે છે.
292. A soul purified with conceptual union, is
compared with a boat sailing in water. Just as with the help of favourable wind, a boat reaches the shore/coast, in the same manner/way, a purified soul cross the world
and all its miseries end. ( ૧૨
