૨૪૬. ચાલતાં ચાલતા જે થાકી ગયેલ છે, ચોર, હિંસક પશુ તથા
રાજાએ જેતે દુ:ખ પહોંચાડ્યું છે, જે તદીથી રોકાયેલ, મહામારી (પ્લેગ) તથા દુષ્કાળથી પીડિત છે એની સારસંભાળ લેવા તથા સેવા અને રક્ષણ આપવું એ વૈયાવચ્ચ છે.
246. "Vaiyavachcha" (Service/Nursing) is to offer
services to an order and protection and to take care of those who are suffering from calamities like Famine, Epidemic, Obstacled by a River, or those inflicted Punishment/Sentence by the king, wild animals, Thief and one who is tired by continuous walking.
૨૪૭.
पूयादिसु णिरवेक्खो, जिण-सत्थं जो पढे भत्तीए । कम्ममल-सोहणटुं, सुयलाहो सुहयरो तस्स ॥२१॥
आदर-सत्कार की अपेक्षा से रहित होकर जो कर्मरूपी मल को धोने के लिए भक्तिपूर्वक जिनशास्त्रों को पढ़ता है, उसका श्रुतलाभ स्व-पर सुखकारी होता है ।
૨૪૭. આદરસત્કારની અપેક્ષા રાખ્યા વગર, જે કર્મરૂપી મળને ધોવા
માટે, ભક્તિભાવ સહિત જૈનશાસ્ત્ર ભણે છે એને સ્વ-પર સુખકારી શ્રુતલાભ મળે છે.
247. One who studies cannonic Scriptures of Jainism,
with devotion, with an intention to wash karmic dirts and without expecting any honour and respect is getting benefit of study/ knowledge which is causing happiness to self as well as to others.
