टीका - किञ्च - 'महावीर : ' कर्मविदारणसहिष्णुः सन्नानुपूर्व्येण मिथ्यात्वाविरति प्रमाद कषाययोगैर्यत्कृतं रजोऽपरजन्तुभिस्तदसौ ' न करोति' न विधत्ते, यतस्तत्प्राक्तनोपात्तरजसैवोपादीयते, स च तत्प्राक्तनं कर्मावष्टभ्य सत्संयमात्संमुखीभूतः, तदभिमुखीभूतश्च यन्मतमष्टप्रकारं कर्म तत्सर्वं 'हित्वा' त्यक्त्वा मोक्षस्य सत्संयमस्य वा सम्मुखीभूतोऽसाविति ॥२३॥
टीकार्थ कर्मों को विदीर्ण करने में सक्षम पुरुष उन पाप कर्मों को नहीं करता जिन्हें अन्य जीव क्रमशः मिथ्यात्व, अविरति, प्रमाद, कषाय तथा योग द्वारा करते हैं । क्योंकि वह पाप कर्म प्राक्तन - पहले के या पूर्व भवों में संचित अशुभ कर्मों द्वारा ही किया जाता है । पूर्वोक्त आत्म बली पुरुष उत्तम संयम को स्वीकार कर - आत्मसात् कर अपने द्वारा पहले के किये गये कर्मों को निर्जीर्ण-क्षीण कर वह मोक्षाभिमुख होता है । दूसरे शब्दों में आठ प्रकार के कर्मों का त्याग कर - परिहार कर मोक्ष या उत्तम संयम के सम्मुख है- संयम पालन उद्यत होता है ।

जं मयं सव्वसाहूणं, तं साहइत्ताण तं तिन्ना, देवा वा अभविंसु ते ॥२४॥
छाया यन्मतं सर्वसाधूनां तन्मतं शल्यकर्त्तनम् ।
साधयित्वा तत्तीर्णाः देवा वा अभूवँस्ते ॥

अनुवाद समस्त साधु जनों द्वारा सम्मत संयम शल्य- पाप का कर्त्तन- नाश करता है । प्राणियों ने उसकी साधना कर संसार समुद्र को पार किया है-मोक्ष प्राप्त किया है अथवा देवत्त्व पाया है- देवलोक में गये हैं ।

टीका - अन्यच्च-‘जम्मय' मित्यादि, सर्वसाधूनां यत् 'मतम्' अभिप्रेतं तदेतत्सत्संयमस्थानं, तद्विशिनष्टिशल्यं - पापानुष्ठानं तज्जनितं वा कर्म तत्कर्तयति-छिन्नत्ति यत्तच्छल्यकर्तनं तच्च सदनुष्ठान उद्युक्तविहारिणः 'साधयित्वा' सम्यगाराध्य बहवः संसारकान्तारं तीर्णाः, अपरे तु सर्वकर्मक्षयाभावात् देवा अभूवन्, ते चाप्तसम्यक्त्वा सच्चारित्रिणो वैमानिकत्वमवापुः प्राप्नुवन्ति प्राप्स्यन्ति चेति ||२४||
टीकार्थ – संयम स्थान सभी साधु जनों को अभिप्रेत है - मान्य है - स्वीकृत है । उसकी विशेषता का

वर्णन करते हुए सूत्रकार प्रतिपादित करते हैं - वह संयम स्थान शल्य- पापमयानुष्ठान अथवा तज्जनित कर्म का कर्तन-छेद या नाश करता है । शास्त्रानुसार धर्म पथ पर विचरणशील बहुत से पुरुष उसे साधकर - भली भांति उसकी आराधना कर संसार रूप भयानक घोर वन को पार कर चुके हैं। तथा अन्य जो समग्र कर्मों का क्षय नहीं कर सके हैं वे देव हुए हैं- देवयोनि में गये हैं ।
सम्यक्त्व युक्त सच्चारित्रशील पुरुष वैमानिक देव हुए हैं - होते हैं एवं भविष्य में भी होंगे । ॐ ॐ ॐ
अभविंसु पुरा धी (वी) रा, आगमिस्सावि सुव्वता । दुन्निबोहस्स मग्गस्स, अंतं पाउकरा तिन्ने ॥ तिबेमि ॥ २५ ॥

**Commentary:** - And again, "Jammay" etc., what is the "opinion" of all the virtuous, that is this place of perfect restraint. It cuts away the arrow (karma) - the performance of sin or the karma arising from it. That cutting of the arrow (karma) is the perfect practice. Many, having achieved it, having properly worshipped, have crossed over the wilderness of the world. Others, due to the lack of destruction of all karma, have become gods. They, having attained perfect knowledge and being of good conduct, have attained, attain, and will attain the status of celestial beings. ||24||

**Commentary Meaning:** The place of restraint is accepted, considered, and approved by all virtuous people.
