अनुवाद जो पुरुष अपना घर त्याग कर दीक्षित हो जाता है, फिर भी दूसरे के भोजन के लिए मुखमांगलिक परस्तुति जीवी - भाट की ज्यों ओरों की प्रशंसा करता है, वह चांवल के दानों में आसक्त बड़े सूअर की तरह उदर लोलुप है, पेट भरने में ही तत्पर है । वह त्वरित ही नाश को प्राप्त होता है-संयम भ्रष्ट हो जाता है ।
टीका यो ह्यात्मीयं धनधान्यहिरण्यादिकं त्यक्त्वा निष्क्रान्तो निष्क्रम्य च 'परभोजने' पराहारविषये 'दीनो' दैन्यमुपगतो जिह्वेन्द्रियवशार्तो वन्दिवत् 'मुखमाङ्गलिको' भवति मुखेन मङ्गलानि - प्रशंसावाक्यानि ईदृश स्तादृशस्त्वमित्येवं दैन्यभावमुपगतो वक्ति, उक्तं च- सो एसो जस्स गुणा वियरंतनिवारिया दसदिसासु । इहरा कहासु सुच्चसि पच्चक्खं अज्ज दिट्ठोऽसि ॥१॥" इत्येवमौदर्यं प्रति गृद्धः अध्युपपन्नः किमिव ? ‘नीवारः' सूकरादिमृगभक्ष्यविशेषस्तस्मिन् गृद्ध-आसक्तमना गृहीत्वा च स्वयूथं 'महावराहो' महाकाय : सूकरः स चाहारमात्रगृद्धोऽतिसंकटे प्रविष्टः सन् ' अदूर एव' शीघ्रमेव 'घातं ' विनाशम् ' एष्यति' प्राप्स्यति, एवकारोऽवधारणे, अवश्यं तस्य विनाश एव नापरा गतिरस्तीति, एवयसावपि कुशील आहारमात्रगृद्धः संसारोदरे पौनः पुन्येन विनाशमेवैति ॥२५॥ किंचान्यत् -

टीकार्थ जो पुरुष धन धान्य सम्पत्ति का परित्याग कर घर से निकल गया है, यों गृह त्याग कर दूसरे से प्राप्य भोजन में दीनतापूर्ण आसक्ति लिए रहता है, वह जिह्वा का वशवृत्ति होकर बन्दी- भाट की तरह अपने मुँह से दूसरे के मंगल वाक्य, प्रशसांत्मक वचन बोलता है, आप ऐसे हैं, आप वैसे हैं इत्यादि के रूप में प्रशस्ति पूर्ण बातें कहता है, जैसे आप वही है, जिसके गुण दसों दिशाओं में व्याप्त है । पहले मैं केवल कथाओं में बातों के प्रसंगों में यह सुनता था किन्तु आज आपको प्रत्यक्ष देख रहा हूँ, आप वैसे ही हैं। वह पुरुष मात्र अपना उदर भरने में आसक्त रहता है । किसके समान ? यह प्रकट करते हुये सूत्रकार कहते हैं जैसे महावराह - विशाल शरीर युक्त सूअर, निवार- सूअर आदि पशुओं के खाने योग्य धान्य विशेष में गृद्ध-आसक्त होकर अपने यूथ-टोली को साथ लेकर उसे पाने के लोभ भारी संकट में पड़ जाता है शीघ्र ही नाश को प्राप्त होता है उसी प्रकार अपना उदर भरने में आसक्त वह शील हीन पुरुष भी पुनः पुनः नाश को प्राप्त होता है । इस गाथा 'आया हुआ एव शब्द अवधारणार्थक है । उसका आशय यह है कि अवश्य ही उसका नाश होता है, कोई दूसरी गति नहीं होती ।

निष्क्रम्य दीनः परभोजने, मुखमाङ्गलिक उदरानुगृद्धः । नीवारगृद्ध इव महावराह अदूर एष्यति घातमेव ॥
अन्नस्स पाणस्सिहलोइयस्स, अणुप्पियं भासति सेवमाणे । पासत्थयं चेव कुशीलयं च, निस्साइए होइ जहा पुलाए ॥ २६ ॥

पुरुष भोजन, पानी, वस्त्र आदि के लालच में दाता पुरुष की रुचि के अनुरूप तें करता है, वह पार्श्वस्थ एवं कुशील है । उसका संयम भूसे के समान निस्सार है ।
