श्री सूत्रकृताङ्ग सूत्रम् अनुवाद - जो कर्मों को उच्छिन्न करने में समर्थ है उस मार्ग का अवलम्बन कर मनोगुप्ति, वाक्गुप्ति और कायगुप्ति से युक्त बनकर धन, पारिवारिक जन तथा आरंभ समारंभ का परित्याग कर उसे उत्तम संयमी बनकर विचरण करना चाहिये ।
- टीका - पुनरप्युपदेशदानपूर्वकमुपसंहरन्ताह-'वेयालियमग्गं' इत्यादि, कर्मणा विदारणमार्गमागतो भूत्वा तं तथाभूतं मनोवाक्कायसंवृत्तः पुनः त्यक्त्वा परित्यज्य वित्तं द्रव्यं तथा ज्ञातीश्च स्वजनाश्च तथा सावद्यारम्भञ्च सृष्टु संवृत इन्द्रियैः संमानुष्ठानं चरेदिति ब्रवीमीति पूर्ववत् ॥२२॥ इति वैतालीय द्वितीयाध्ययनस्य प्रथमोद्देशकः समाप्तः ।
टीकार्थ - आगमकार पुनः उपदेश देते हुए इस उद्देशक का समापन करते हुए कहते हैं कि जो मार्ग कर्मों का विदारण करने में समर्थ है उस पर चलते हुए मन वचन और काय से गुप्त-मानसिक, तथा वाचिक अमत्त प्रवृत्ति से विरत रहते हुए सम्पत्ति, पारिवारिक जन तथा पापयुक्त कार्यों का परित्याग कर इन्द्रियों का वशवर्ती न होते हुए संयम के पथ पर चलना चाहिये । श्री सुधर्मा स्वामी जम्बू स्वामी से ऐसा कहते हैं ।
वैतालीय नामक दूसरे अध्ययन का प्रथम उद्देशक परि-समाप्त होता है।
