च अर्थे विशेषतः बुद्धि-ज्ञान-विद्यादीनां प्रेरकः सन् अयमग्मिरेव सेनानी: सेनाधिपतिरिव सर्वाभीष्टार्थसाधने अग्रणीभवति, सः स्वयं प्रचेतनः सन् सहस्वान् बलवान् सर्वप्रतिक्रियादिसमर्थः प्रतिपदं पदे पदे प्रतिक्षणं अन्येषां त्वलं परेषां प्रतिबलं च सहते अस्माकं रक्षार्थमिति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION By his good guidance which means by love and foresight, let Agni guide us to happiness. Let him conduct us by well-chosen paths towards Truth and help us to getit. "Oh! Agni, take us to manifold wealth by well chosen ways" (Rg. I-189-1). The happiness referred to herein is really manifold. It refers to the attainment of the Atmå also which is the highest achievement. Agni is the father and inspirer of all beings in this world, generally of everybody and specially of man; it is Agni that actually inspires one to get knowledge and wisdom. He is like a commander, and he takes us to every desired object. He, being the activiser, is strong and can withstand the opposite forces.
षष्ठी ऋक् । अग्निरयं प्रक्षया सन् प्रचेतनो विश्वमेतञ्चकार सं सचैतसम् ॥ ब्रह्मणोऽण्डं पिण्डं यथाऽयसोऽग्निं
सो अग्निः प्रज्ञाता पुरुषो जातवेदाः ॥६॥ पदपाठः – अनिः । अयं । प्रऽज्ञया । सन् । प्रऽचेतनः।
विश्वं । एतत् । चकार । सं। सऽचैतसम् ॥ ब्रह्मणः । अण्ड । पिण्ड । यथा । अय॑सः । अग्निं । सः । अग्निः । प्रऽज्ञाता । पुरुषः । जातऽवेदाः ॥
This Agni is an activiser with sound knowledge. He activated the Universe-the egg of Brahma - like fire which heats an iron ball. That Agni is the knower and pervades the whole universe and he (Purusha ) is. one existing in all and knowing all.
अन्वयभाष्यम्। सः स्वयं प्रचेतनः सन् अयमग्निः प्रज्ञया धिया संविदा च तदेतद् विश्वं अचेतनं जगत् प्रचेतसं सम्यक् चकार आत्मसात्करणेन सचेतनं करोति इति यावत् , तत्राय प्रत्यक्ष
