छन्दोदर्शनम्
यो भू॒तानि॑ स॒स्रु॑ते॒ ज्योति॑षा॒ऽन्तः पर॑स्मात् पुरु॑ष॒ः स पू॒र्णः प॑र॒मः ॥ ८ ॥
पदपाठः यः । वा । विद्युत॑ः । परः । सन् । सह॑सा । इन्द्रः ।
विद्युत॑ः । एव । आ । ज॒जन॑ । विश्व॑म् । ए॒तत् ॥
यः । भूतानि । सम्ऽकुरुते । ज्योति॑षा । अ॒न्तरिति॑ । पर॑स्मात् । पुरु॑षः । सः । पूर्णः । परमः ॥
-
Indra being beyond and greater than lightning, he is the Lord of lightning. He created this universe from lightning itself. He purifies all beings with the help of the light within. He is the supreme of supremes, the Purusha is perfection itself.

अन्वयभाष्यम् |
यः स्वयं विद्युदात्मकः ततश्च परः सन् सद्रूपः परः सर्वेभ्यः श्रेष्ठः सहसा आत्मबलेन स इन्द्रः ईशानः पारमैश्वर्यपूर्णः सन् विद्युतः सकाशात् इदं विश्वं प्रजज्ञे जनयामास तथ स्वयमेव सः विद्युतः विश्वरूपेण भविर्बभूव ॥ यश्च पुनः एतेषु सर्वेषु अन्तर्हितः सन् ज्योतिषा स्वेन इमानि भूतानि संस्कुरुते प्रतिक्षणं परिपाकेन नूतनानि सम्भावयति, आत्मसात् करोतीति भावः || सः परस्मात् सर्वस्मादपि विद्युदादेः परमः श्रेष्ठः पुरुषः इति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION
He is himself of the nature of lightning. But he is beyond lightning and superior to lightning and the best of all. He, by his own glory, is Indra, the ruler by his own might. From this lightning, he created this visible universe. Or, he is himself lightning and as such with the help of the light of lightning only, he manifested himself as this universe which is full of variety. Again, he is within all beings. He is there as the Lord and makes them new (renew them) every moment by developing and maturing them with his light. He makes them like himself. He is beyond all lights like lightning etc. He is Purusha and is perfect.
नवमी ऋक् ।
यः प्र॑जा॒नन् अज॑न्य॒ः सन् अम॑य॒
यो विश्वथा राज॑तेऽन्तर्य एकः ॥ यो वा॑ स्व॒राट् स॒म्राड् वि॒राड् विभुः प्रभुः पर॑स्मा॒त्पुरु॑ष॒ः स पू॒र्णः प॑र॒मः ॥ ९ ॥
