अथ प्रथमा ऋक् । नमो ब्रह्मणस्पतये ब्रह्मणेऽस्मै नम आत्मने पुरुषाय परस्मै ॥ वाचा ब्रह्मणा विश्वा राजमान
ब्रह्मणा तं प्रपद्ये ब्रह्मणस्पतिम् ॥ १ ॥ पदपाठ :- नमः । ब्रह्मणः । पतये । ब्रह्मणे । अस्मै ।
नमः । आत्मने । पुरुषाय । परस्मै ॥ वाचा । ब्रह्मणा । विश्वऽथा । राजमानम् । ब्रह्मणा । तम् । प्र । पद्ये । ब्रह्मणः । पतिम् ॥
Salutation to this Brahmanaspati, to Brahma, to Ātma the essence of consciousness, and to the supreme Purusha ( the Supreme Person). I attain Brahmanaspati, who shines gloriously with the power of Vak, the manifest Brahma in the form of mantra (the word ).
अन्वयभाष्यम् । ब्रह्मणस्पतये प्रत्यक्षब्रह्मणः वाचः अधिपतये अस्मै सर्वान्तःसंस्थिताय मुख्यप्राणरूपाय नमः, तथा परस्मै ब्रह्मणे आत्मने प्रत्यगात्मने चेतनाय पुरुषाय नमः, ब्रह्मणा प्रत्यक्षेण वाचा परया शक्त्या निजया ब्रह्मात्मवाचिकया विश्वथा सर्वथा विश्वतो मुखेन स्वरूपेण राजमानं देदीप्यमानं तं परं ब्रह्मणस्पतिं ब्रह्मणा तस्यैव मन्त्रमुखेन प्रपद्ये प्राप्नोमीति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION Salutation to this Brahmanaspati, who is Brahma the lord of Vak, and one who is the innermost main vital breath of all. Likewise, salutation to Ātman the invisible Purusha who animates all and pervades everything. Vāk, the supreme power is manifest Brahma. She expresses Him and He glories with her. He is Brahmaṇaspati whom I attain by the help of His own mantra
द्वितीया ऋक् । ब्रह्मणस्पते त्वं च वाक् च संहितो दम्पतीवैव भवथो युवां मिथः ॥
