129 विश्वमुपजीवति" इति (ऋ. मं. १-१६४-४३) इत्यादि मन्त्रवर्णेऽपि तदेतदेवानुश्रावयति ॥ तस्मात् सा वागेव विदा संविदा प्रधाना हृदा तदनुभावेन पूर्णा अधि अध्यात्मतत्त्वाभ्युदीर्णा सती आत्मन: चेतनस्य अरं अन्यूनं पूर्णं परं मिथुनं युगलं युगलीभूता इति ॥
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION Oh Sarasvati ! on account of your power, the great Ätman was made manifest as light. You enter the great Ātman who is your own through your powers like knowledge etc. You give life to the individual creatures as well, in this world. That you do by your essence. Cf. " From Vak, the oceans are born and the four intermediate quarters exist on account of Våk. The whole universe lives by the power of Vak." ( Rg. I-164-43).
अष्टमी ऋक् । सरस्वती त्वं यशो गृक्षपत्नीह धारयसे तं यज्ञं यज॑माना विश्वम् || पुरुष स्व यज्ञपतिं यजसे रसैन
वाक् परमा ज्योतिर्विश्वस्य दर्शयत् ॥ ८ ॥ पदपाठ :- सरस्वती । त्वम् । यज्ञः । यज्ञऽपत्नी । इह ।
धारय॑से । तम् । यज्ञम् । यज॑माना । विश्वम् । पुरुषम् । स्वम् । यज्ञम् । यज्ञऽप॑तिम् । यजसे । रसैन । वाक् । परमा । ज्योतिः। विश्वस्य । दर्शयत् ।।
Oh Sarasvati ! you are the sacrifice and (on account of your being a helper) the wife of the sacrificer. You maintain the sacrifice in this universe. By your essence, you worship your Lord (the Supreme Person ), the master of sacrifice and the all-pervading spirit. Vak is the supreme light which illumines everything in the universe.
अन्वयभाष्यम्। सा परा वाग् देवतात्मा सरस्वती रसवती संविदादिसर्वरसप्रपूर्णा त्वं यज्ञः स्वयं यज्ञस्वरूपा यज्ञधाननेयनादिरूपा चिन्मयी सकलयज्ञसाधनीभूतत्वाद् वाच:, अत एव यज्ञपत्नी यज्ञस्य पालयित्री, सर्वहुदादियज्ञे यजमानस्य तस्य परमपुरुषस्य यज्ञसहकारिणी स्वयमपि तं यज्ञं यजमाना सती विश्वं यज्ञं धारयसे, तेन यज्ञेन च विश्वं जगदपि धारयसे बिभर्षि पोषयसि च, “ यज्ञं वष्टु धियावसुः", " यज्ञं दधे सरस्वती", इति च (ऋ. मं. १-३
