( सिरि भवलय
The author Kumudendu says that he was the teacher of Rashtrakuta Amoghavarsha and Ganga Sivmara of Talakad, and disciple of Virasena and Jinasena, the celebrated authors of Dhavala and Jaya Dhavala tika. Kumudendu belongs to the line of Senagana, Jnata vamsa, Saddharma gotra, Dravyanga Sakha, Ikshvaku dynasty, down to Prabhavasena, Dharasena and Bhutbali. Though it is very difficult to decide the date of the work, it cannot be called as by some scholars a freak or a curiosity. Though one cannot agree with the late Sri. K. Srikantaiah on the question of the date of the work, the so-called mathematical tables, original MSs, etc., undoubtedly the work is earlier than the tenth century A.D.
Siri Bhuvalaya contains 600,000 verses in Kannada. It is a compendium of Indian culture, philosophy, religion, art and science. Kumudendu, though a Digambara Jaina, says that Rgveda is the source of all knowledge, and tries to prove it in all aspects. He mentions almost all the canonical literature belonging to the different schools of thought of his time.
Kumudendu's work 'Siri Bhuvalaya' is divided in to nine parts (volumes), and the first volume which is called, "Mangala Prabhrta" is an epitome of the remaining eight volumes. Out of the remaining eight volumes the first four contain: 1) Almost all the canonical literature of the Vedic school, Brahmanas, Upanishads, etc.; Digambara and Svatambara Jaina works and other religious works; 2)Original texts belonging to different Ayurvedic and Veterinary systems. Kumudendu mentioned more than 27 Ayurvedic systems which existed in India, and in the 3rd and 4th volumes he deals with the Indian positive sciences like physics, chemistry, alchemy, biochemistry, biology, botony, zoology, astronomy, space science, etc. The latter four volumes deal with the Karma theory and the liberation of the soul.

Military Bakshi & Hon. A.D.C. To H.H. The Maharaja of Mysore I went through the works of Sriman Pandit M. Yellappa Sastry.
The name of work itself viz., "ANKAKSHARA VIGNANA" is a new thing to the world. The easy method of bringing in contact the figures with words is really a work of an extra-ordinary intelligence.
The Composition of several poems on the new form seems to me so very hormonious and a great help to the leading authors as well.
Hope his unique work will be appreciated by everyone.
