he gradually did what was customary at that time, because he wanted to destroy his remaining karman, and he stood motionless in his nirvāna. 178

The kings of the gods saluted him by hailing the festive day of his nirvāņa: "we salute him and are very pleased with his noble qualities.”

udaharanam eteșām Pārsvo ganyah kşamāvatām
They resemble the ocean: deep at the beginning, in the middle and at the end. Pārsva should be counted an example for people here to be forbearing.
