मूलाचार
यदि चरणकरणशुद्धो नित्योद्युक्तो विनीतो मेधावी । तस्येष्टं कथयितव्यं स्वकश्रुतशक्त्या भणित्वा ॥ १६७॥
अर्थ-जो वह मुनि तेरह प्रकार चारित्र तेरह प्रकार करणकर शुद्ध हो, नित्य उद्यमी हो-अतीचार न लगावे, विनयवान् हो, बुद्धिमान हो तो अपनी श्रुतज्ञानकी शक्ति कहकर उसके वांछितको वह आचार्य करे ॥ १६७ ॥
यदि आगंतुक ऐसा न हो तो आचार्यको कैसा करना उसे बतलाते हैं;जदि इदरो सोऽजोग्गो छेदमुवट्ठावणं च कादव्वं । जदि णेच्छदि छंडेजो अह गेहादि सोवि छेदरिहो १६८
यदि इतरः स अयोग्यः छेदः उपस्थापनं च कर्तव्यः । यदि नेच्छति त्यजेत् अथ गृह्णाति सोपि छेदाहः॥१६८॥
अर्थ-जो वह आगंतुक मुनि चरणकरणसे अशुद्ध हो देववंदनाकर अयोग्य हो तो प्रायश्चित्त शास्त्रको देखकर छेद तथा उपस्थापना करना । जो वह छेदोपस्थापना खीकार न करे तो उसे छोड़ दे । और जो अयोग्यको भी मोहसे ग्रहण करे उसे प्रायश्चित्त न दे तो वह आचार्य भी प्रायश्चित्तके योग्य है ॥१६८॥ ___ उसके बाद क्या करना चाहिये यह कहते हैंएवं विधिणुववण्णो एवं विधिणेव सोवि संगहिदो। सुत्तत्थं सिक्खंतो एवं कुज्जा पयत्तेण ॥ १६९॥
