When they saw their faults, they showed repentance and got themselves reinitiated. Severe austerity and strict observance of the vows helped them to destroy completely the destructive Karmic forces and enabled them eventually to be blessed with Omniscience. One could easily see from this narrative the extra-ordinary powers of the soul and the variegated results of the Karmic forces. २नी समाति
“ ધાદિ દોષ જે જે રીતે નિર્બલ થતા હોય, તે તે રીતે અપ્રમત્તભાવથી સજજને પ્રયત્ન કરવો જોઈએ. ક્રોધાદિવિકાર થવાનાં કારણ સમીપ ઉપસ્થિત થયે છતે પણ જેનું મન આક્ષિપ્ત થતું નથી, તેને માટે ગપર્વતના શિખર ઉપર પહોંચવાનું કામ વિલંબને સહન કરતું नथा."-७८ -
કષાયો કેવા ભયંકર છે ? એ વાત, વિશેષાવશ્યક ભાષ્યની અંદર આપેલી ગાથાઓ ઉપરથી સ્પષ્ટ સમજી શકાય તેમ છે. તે ગાથાઓ
" उवसामं उवणीआ गुणमहया जिणचरित्तसरिसं पि ।
पडिवायंति कसाया किं पुण सेसे सरागत्थे " ? ॥ " दवदूमियंजणदुमो छारच्छन्नोऽगणि व्व पञ्चयओ।
दावेइ जह सरूवं तह स कसायोदये भुजो" ॥ " तम्मि भवे निव्वाणं न लभइ उक्कोसओ व संसार ।
पोग्गलपरियद्धं देसोणं कोइ हिंडेजा ॥ " जइ उवसंतकसायो लहइ अणंतं पुणोवि पडिवायं ।
न हु भे वीससियव्वं थेवे व कसायसेसम्मि" ॥ " अणथोवं वणथोवं अग्गियोवं कसायथोवं च ।
न हु भे वीससियव्वं थेवं वि हु तं बहु होइ" ॥ ( १७४ ५६८, ५६८ गाथा-१३०६, १३०७, १३०८, १३०८, १३१०),
