मानः। ....
क्रोधनिरासाय मानादिनिरासः कर्त्तव्यःयावन मानादिकदूषणानां रुद्धः प्रचारो नहि तावदेषः। शक्यः समापादयितुं निरोधं मानादिदोषा अपि तेन हेयाः॥३२॥
As long as the progress of such evils as Egotism is not checked, anger cannot be subdued. Therefore such defects as egotism, etc., are even fit to be discarded. ( 32 ) માનાદિ દોષને પ્રસ્તાવ - " यां सुधी भान ( २ ) वगेरे पानी प्रया२ २३वामा આવ્યા નથી, ત્યાં સુધી ક્રોધ નિષેધ કરે, એ શકય નથી. માટે માનાદિ દોષ તિલાંજલિ આપવા ગ્ય છે ”—૨૨ मानोऽनर्यकारीविवेकनेत्रं हरताऽस्मदीयं मानेन तीव्रो विहितोऽपराधः। न त्यज्यते तच्छ्यणं तथापि सम्मूढता कीदृगतः परं स्यात् ॥३२॥ सभ्यत्वदुग्धं यदि रक्षणीयं तद् दर्पसर्पण न सङ्गतं स्यात् । विद्यासुधादीधितिशीतभासो मानाभ्रविक्षेपणतः स्फुरन्ति ॥ ३४॥
What greater folly can there be than of being in love with pride that has committed the heinous offence of robbing us of our sight in the form of right understanding ? ( 33 )
