' “ જ્વલંત અગ્નિવડે બળેલો વૃક્ષ પાછો પુષ્પ-ફલાદિથી સઘન બની જાય છે, પરંતુ દુષ્ટ વચને વડે માણસના હૃદયમાં પડેલે ઘા રૂઝાતો નથી. સત્ય વાણી જે આનન્દ ઉપજાવે છે, તે આનન્દ ચન્દન કે રત્નોની માળા ઉપજાવતી નથી. ”—૨૫ मृषावादः कथं सेवितव्यः ?विनश्वरी श्रीश्चपलाश्च भोगाः स्वार्थैकबद्धाः स्वजनाः समग्राः। अतो मृषावाद उपासनीयः किमर्थमेषा सुधियां मनीषा ॥२६॥
: For what earthly purpose, should a man resort to falsehood, when the wealth is transitory, the objects of pleasure are evanescent and all the relatives are engrossed in seeking self-interest ? This is the way the wise think. ( 26 ) મૃષાવાદ શા માટે સેવા?—
“લક્ષ્મી વિનશ્વર છે, ભેગે ચપલ છે અને બધે સ્વજનવર્ગ મતલબી છે, તો પછી શા માટે કેને માટે મૃષાવાદ સેવવો જોઈએ ? આમ સજજનોની માન્યતા હોય છે.”—૨૬
